I can't be the only one who actually prefers their more recent material to their older stuff. I love their _BWD_ sound as much as everyone else, but they've become capable of so much more than just rehashing the sounds they experimented with for an album that will always be there for us to enjoy. I do like how this track is essentially a throwback to that era, but I also hope that they continue to tweak and perfect the sound they've gone with for _The Weather,_ _Tasmania,_ and _9,_ all of which felt like natural progressions from each other. With this new album supposedly being a double album, maybe they'll touch on all the genres they've dabbled in while still pushing the boundaries of what psychedelic pop can be.

Wow yeah I think I listened to it 30 ish times already and this is a masterpiece of Pond! Shiny Joe goes hard on this one as well as Jamie and James. Jay and Nick do so well with the contrast between the verses and chorus. I'm just floored! I really hope Seattle gets a tour stop and I wouldn't be opposed if this gets a 7" vinyl single

I personally prefer the sound from The Weather and 9. This is absolutely amazing too and I enjoy how it's kind of like a throwback to the BWD days, but I hope there are at least a few songs similar to Paint Me Silver, America's Cup, Rambo, Toast, The Weather, Daisy, Czech Locomotive, etc. Since it's supposed to be a double album, they can easily do both and can even experiment with some newer sounds as well.

As much as I love the return to their BWD era sound, I really do hope there are at least a few tracks on the new album that have similar vibes to _The Weather_ and _9,_ as those aren't just my favorite Pond albums; they're my favorite albums of all-time.

@@joshuagodwin589 _Eye Pattern Blindness_ is great too, definitely one of my favorites off BWD. Hell, I love _all_ of their songs, from the metal-ish vibes of _Whatever Happened to the Million Head Collide_ to the soothing keyboards and saxophone on _Toast._ It's all fantastic stuff, and if this new album actually does turn out to be a double album, then I really hope they throw in a bunch of different flavors from each of their "eras", as well as pumping out some newer material that pushes their psych-pop sound even further.

@@Cisfordelta But MIFLSA already exists and will always be there for us to enjoy and jam the fuck out to. Personally, I'd rather they keep moving forward with their sound instead of going backwards, or if the rumors about this being a double album are true, then at least mix things up by touching on all of the genres they've experimented with over the past fifteen years while still throwing a few new tracks in that see them exploring new territory. One of the things I love about them is that they're always evolving in some way, and as a result, each album has its own unique sound or "flavor" while maintaining the essence that makes them....well, them. I'd honestly be a little bit disappointed if we just got MIFLSA Part II with this new album.
