This bridge opened on March 18, 2013, two days after its inauguration.
The bridge has a total length of 575 meters with 433 meters of main deck and 117 meters of lifting span.
Till date 2013, it is the longest vertical-lift bridge in Europe.
The prestigious "Outstanding Projects 2014" prize was awarded to EGIS-JMI, designer alongside the architect Thomas Lavigne, Jacques-Chaban-Delmas bridge in Bordeaux.
