I found Theofilo Georgiadi in his farm Ragian in a little village called Vathi of Kilkis . A real Pontian Greek that he lives, works and he fights, to preserve his origin.
My name is Tony Kavalieros and As you know by now, I am dedicated to the promotion of Greek culture, the tradition, the authentic eating habits, the origin of the recipes, the Greek hospitality and the beauty of the Greek land, as well as the local products, the history and the music… through my videos of Savor Greece..
To do this and bring you the correct information, I search for the right genuine people, people who love their tradition, who work hard to preserve their origin and history, like the Pontians Greeks who lived in the region of Pontus, in northeastern Anatolia in Turkey, from at least 700 BC until the Greek genocide and the population exchange with Turkey in 1923.
Pontians are descendants of the Hellenic people who colonized Pontus
Today, most Pontian Greeks live in Greece, especially in and around Thessaloniki in Greek Macedonia.
Also in this video, the church of Holy Trinity in the village Kato-Theodoraki, a quaint little village with about 60 residents. The beautiful temple was built in 1804 and since 1983 has been declared a preserved monument.
It is the oldest operating church in Kilkis region and one of the oldest in the country.

My father in law is a Pontic Greek from Donetsk Ukraine. Donetsk is a large bastion of Pontic. My father in law spoke Rumeika Greek in addition to Ukrainian and Russian.

Who the f* speaks Hellenistic Greek? Pontic is more archaic than modern Greek, true. And Romeika (spoken in Trabzon province, Turkey, and Nea Trapezounta village, Thessaloniki, Greece) is an even more archaic dialect of Pontic, although all Pontic dialects were called Romeika traditionally. So be more precise in your question please. Even the most archaic Greek spoken today is mostly based on Koine Greek of the middle ages, though Romeika of eastern Trabzon retains some Hellenistic elements that are lost in most other Greek dialects. That does not make it "Hellenistic Greek". But it is interesting.

Nah, he is speaking modern Greek, save for the various names of the foods. He is not speaking in a Pontic dialect.
