Smith’s century in first test in adelaide of 141 set the tone for Australia in the series. I think that was the top moment of the series which was his slowest century with utter patience

BIGDAZR it was surreal yes and I love a Dave Warner hundred as much as the next person but Lyons runout was a momentum shifter. England looks very solid on day one and that half chance rattled them.

Malan's wicket out of nowhere in that last session of 4th day of 2nd test is definitely a moment of Ashes... England never really recovered from that loss
Best moment for me in this Ashes series was Malan's wicket in the second test Day 4 last session. Root and Malan were playing so well looking so comfortable there was surely no way they lose another wicket. Surely they will go 3 down to end the day but Pat Cummins out of nowhere knocked Malan's off pole
LoL Vids yes that was mine! It was slipping away from them and coincidentally the moment I chose to get up and get some drink was the moment the wicket fell.
Yes after that wicket on the next day first hazelwood struck twice to get well settled root with under edge of the bat and other batsman and after that its all done by mitch starc’s five fer...pink ball and starc always suited each other...but against india it favoured hazelwood...
25th August 2019 | new #1 - Ben Stokes’ 135 not out including a 76-run 10th wicket stand to record the highest ever English run chase and keep England in the Ashes.
@@peterhastings703 He messed up the run out but did he mess up the next delivery? Absolute plum lbw. England still had a review so he can't make a wrong decision by saying out
@@getaflattyinya It was poor umpiring and clearly should have been given out, but I was referring to the failed lbw review off Cummins a few minutes earlier with the ball pitching outside leg. Easy with hindsight, but if the Aussies hadn't made that review, then they would have won..
What about 2005 Edgbaston test... Aus lost by just 2 runs after a tough fight by the tail enders and Flintoff comiserating Lee after the match. I think that was one of the finest moments in ashes history.

@@johnchildyearu6646 Exactly! Pure luck and nothing else. Overrated bowler as India have conclusively established in two consecutive bilateral test series down under
It's what the channel has access to, only the Aussie based games. Ponting is also going to only really keep in high regards for a top five moments that benefit his home team. Absolutely yes
And noone can forget that 2005 ashes ....ponting dismissal at 0 by Flintoff .... the whole crowd was just cheering like they already knew it before......
@@samirpaul3909 on an absoloute road that didnt win england the match. nothing special really, just got him back into form on an absoloute road of a pitch
I was there for the Tom Curran no ball. Warner got out, the English erupted and the Aussies were practically crying. Then, the Aussies erupted and the English were practically crying, as it should be.
