OMG!!! She is PRECIOUS!!! I have been a Poodle Mommy since I was 4! And I’m 60! I LOVE ALL DOGS!! But I am a complete sucker for a Poodle!!! She did GREAT for her first bath!! ♥️
Same. I don’t think our Breeder did any grooming before we got our pup at 9 weeks. Would’ve made things much smoother. He’s almost 6 months now and he still hasn’t really taken to the grooming process. He absolutely loathes getting brushed even with treats and encouragement
Thanks for a happy demo, and especially for the way you kept her wrapped in a towell to do her rear end. I hadn't thought of doing that. Mine's 9 weeks and only had one bath and blow dry, so up to me to get it right from now on.
My poodle pup is 10 weeks old and I was very surprised how well behaved he was when I gave him his 1st bath. The breeder bathed him right before we got him so I’m guessing he is already okay with it. I like your video👍
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! 😊 You have such a wonderful way of explaining this. So many people have no idea that you have to teach a dog how to be groomed. And how to make them feel safe. Would love to have one of your pups! I would know they had been cared for properly.
I love this groomer; she obviously loves dogs and she's has common-sense... she genttle, but isn't holding the puppy like she's gonna break the puppy ❤ She knows you have to start grooming puppies at a young age, not like most who think you're gonna kill the dog if you bathe it too soon
I do not use any particular product. I give only filtered water, and I don't feed anything with chicken turkey or duck ingredients. Eye staining can also be attributed to ear and tooth infections and teething in puppy's.
Funny you mentioned the weather also.. here today first time this year temperatures dropped to the fifties. I am in Florida too. Do you sell poodles 🐩?
I use cat nail trimmers and just take of the sharp points until they get used to it❤️ there's also a video of me doing her nails with cuticle trimmers. Enjoy!
I put a towel in the bathtub so my puppy does not slide , because is not good for they delicate hips. I also give mine a real bath..meaning I fill the bathtub up with some water so my puppy loves to swim and play with toys.
@@DogGroomingTV thank you so much for your reply. Do you have any videos that show the technique to trim paw hair so the nails can be safely dremmeled on a puppy? I am not going into the extent of grooming the paws like the show poodles but just enough to prevent tangling when dremmeling.
If the puppy is producing dander I assume I am not washing off the shampoo properly? I am trying to bathe him once a week for now to get him used to baths but I see he has a lot of dander. I am not using the shampoo you recommend but I wonder if I am using too much or maybe it's not the best shampoo? Also would conditioner make a difference ?
I bath and dry all mine weekly starting at 3-4 weeks old. That way it becomes part of their life and they aren't afraid of all the grooming that they have to have in their lives❤️
I bath them weekly to get them used to the process. As long as you are using good quality products and your puppy is healthy this should not cause any problems.
Info not clean their ears this young. Healthy puppy ears don't need cleaning. If the ears are "dirty" when they are this small then something is amiss and they should be seen by a veterinarian.☹️
Starr Grooming TV oh so I don’t need to clean my 1 year old dogs ear? Lol sorry for bothering it’s just I’m getting him next week and I want to be ready
