I am also a staff member of an Amazon store that sells products such as pool heater. I wanted to inquire if you would be interested in testing our product.
cool...I used muriatic acid like 1 cup and it is so much better than all the shock... and once you get it clean you only need to do that once a week with chlorine!!
For the couplings, did you put any teflon tape or use an O ring on them? I am changing mine out soon and was going to get couplings and use both of them on those connections
I can see the leak in this video, I'll never buy a everbilt! No matter how tight you fasten it. It's not only a day old yet and already leaks I tried calling costumer support and got an answering machine!
It did leak a small amount at the Teflon taped fitting at the top for a few hours. The nice thing about those type of fittings is they tend to self seal over time. Be careful not to over tighten plastic fittings they crack easily. Mine doesn't leak at all and has been running about 6 hrs a day for the past 2 years.
I’m new, to owning a pool, went to Leslie’s pool supply and told me I have a 16,000 gal Pool, and the size of pump I need is a 1.8… it cost about 1600$ way too much. Wanted to know approximately how many gallons is yours. So I can use the same one
That sounds about right. My pool is 19-20,000 gal. depending on rain. The pump I replaced was 2 HP but I could only find 1.5 hp at the time but it's still adequate, I just have to run it more. $1600 for a higher quality 2HP pump installed sounds a little high but only by a few hundred dollars.
Don’t buy Everbilt. I can’t find any replacement parts. I’m sure it has a shaft leak . I’m not sure I can buy that part ( The shaft seal ring ) also if I could only replace the motor I would but I don’t see any to replace it with. These are Hayward .
The Everbilt pool pumps are ultimate pieces of crap. Home Depot pushes their brand at so-so prices, but subsequent support of the product is practically non-existing. For example, as basic item as the replacement strainer O-ring is practically not obtainable. HD stuff would not give you any information regarding the sources of spare parts. So ... save yourself some money down the road and buy and buy rather a 'name' brand .
