Nice video but unless I missed something, how do you go about sealing the area that you cut into after inserting the inserts? Won't water simply leak out of that?
I just patched mine with some JB water weld I had lying around....didn't even know they made a kit like this. I have a new roof going on and they have to remove the panels and re-install them so fingers crossed I wont get any more leaks. Any thing I should look out for with the roofer and re-install in your opinion?
When they roof our pump houses on new pools I have found nails that have fallen off of the roof and then kicked into the pool so make sure you check it good
@@Poolelementary Thanks! I know the last roof I had replaced (different house) I had to buy a commercial magnet and go around the house about a hundred times to get all the nails to protect the kids...they never wear shoes.
I plugged both ends of the channel to keep water from entering the channel from the inlet side being the top of the panel and the return side of the panel being the bottom. All the channels are connected to the main lines so plugging both ends is needed to prevent water from entering the channel were taking offline do to a hole or leak.
@@Poolelementary gotcha. I was under the impression those plugs were hollow like some sort of bypass to a leak. But now I understand they eliminate that channel altogether. Thanks
