This is incredible! It looks and feels just like the books' illustrations coming to life. The CG animation in the final product captured that feel equally well, but it's really cool to see Prof. Poopypants in traditional animation.
That will never happen as DreamWorks Animation can longer make hand-drawn animated feature films after Sinbad: Legends of the Seven Seas failed box-office wise or financially.
18 frames looks smoother because largely it IS smoother compared to most. Most large-budget hand-drawn animations were animated at 12 FPS. The late Richard Williams would animate at 24 FPS. More frames means more fluid movement.
@@tuser8 the standard is 24 FPS for live-action. Hand-drawn is usually animated at 12 FPS. Stop motion can vary as well. Laika animates at 24 FPS, but Shadowmachine I think animates at 12.
Underrated? He is not your tipical college animator who was a RU-vid channel or someone who is animating for hobby. He is a professional animator working with studios with big names.
Dude this is incredible its as if we're watching the production of some TV show or even movie, this is freaking amazing, if anything you put so much work and effort into this, far too underrated on youtube and needs more recognition
Always felt bad for this fellow. He was a genius who single-handedly solved global hunger and garbage disposal. He decided to try his hand at teaching children, and it went SO POORLY he became a supervillain.
Professor p. poopypants:I’m professor p! Me:that’s a bad name. Professor p. poopypants:but you can call me professor *P E E !* Me:oh my god you made it worse.
I wish they wouldve gone with 2D animation, it captured the original artstyle so much better, I like the 3D animation too but 2D would be my preference
this this is why we need 2D movies back there’s people like you who have such an incredible skill for just a test and you can’t use it for big stuff anymore (as far as i’m aware, please do correct me if i’m wrong)
It honestly is really good but there are plenty of animation studios and animators out their who are amazing at what they do and have put out better quality more rendered and polished animations that get no love
