In his mid-30s, on the verge of bankruptcy, and fleeing a failed marriage, a small-town man had virtually no prospects. He had no university education and no money to fall back on. All he had was a dream to create a candy company. And by ingeniously partnering with his biggest rival, he was able rise up and dominate the global chocolate market, starting a multi-generation empire that would eventually rise to a value of almost $100 billion. Starting in his home kitchen, this young entrepreneur ended up producing most popular chocolate of all time. This is the story of Franklin Clarence Mars.

Frank C Mars his second wife was called Veronica. Not Ethel. At 9min35 there is a picture of Forrest Senior. Not Frank. Frank died in 1934.

I used to buy a mix of mini chocolates Mars Twix Sneakers and Bounty in Qatar. I gave it to the repair plumber when he took out many hairs from my bath sink he was grossed, as a gift. In Belgrade I occasionally buy standard chocolates at the Kiosk Bounty, Sneakers, Twix and Mars and at the supermarkets. They give a lot of energy to me 😊

800K equal to 14 billion? Lol...check your math. Otherwise, great video.
@keithrobin6566
@keithrobin6566 11 месяцев назад
they meant 800k in the 1920s is approximately equal to 14 billion in the current times. Accounting for inflation of course.
@SudoMachine
@SudoMachine Месяц назад
@@keithrobin6566 Not even close. 800k from 1920s would barely crack 13 million in today's money accounting for inflation. 14 billion is multiple orders of magnitude off the mark!
