I guess what this proves Is that the speaker is the most important piece of the amp. The circuit whether solid state or tube doesn’t matter as much as ppl are told. As long as it’s a good circuit paired to a good speaker it’ll be a good amp.
I would the amp does matter not f it valve tube transistor or what ever. If it is a good amp/circuit using this with the vox mv 50 its 10 times better..
Loved the comparisons! The V-Type Neo makes the amp seem much more dimensional- especially noticeable in the latter half of the samples, with the overdrive kind of tones. The “Tweed Deluxe” voice on the Champion 40 amp sounds better than most tube amps! Crazy!!!!! Thanks for the killer video!!
subscribed to your channel. difference between original speaker and the celestion is very big. much much better sound especially in distortion. i have a question, have you tried some preamps into the aux in to bypass completely the amp preamp? i dunno like very much digital stuff. even if it does not sound too bad here. im using since some time directly a boos ds-2 as a distortion preamp into effect loop of many amps with good results. my favourite speaker is and old english g12t-75 16 ohm.
I like that speaker too.. g12-75 But what I did with this is to connect a vox mv-50 on it and just use it as a cab .. i never tried to use the aux input.
Well, the thing is it already change the amplifiers and I'm gonna change it back to the other one what I can do is just make a simple video of me playing it with the actual amplifier that I use on the daily basis which is the M50 Vox
im a special idiot, have the fender champion 100, guess they use better speakers in that one.. cuz i just sold my katana 50 to get the champion 40, smaller was my idea lol but the first video you did has me worried. how easy isit to change the speaker?
Thanks for the comparison. The neo V-type sounds warm, which is good to notice on a sample, which is recorded with a different microphone than the popular Shure SM57, which significantly boosts 5 and 6 khz and which makes guitar sound colder and more harsh. What microphone did you use in this video?
I mean, it sounds warm to me. I only wonder how 9:32 sounded to you at your room, because beside the rest, that one moment sounded more harsh to me on this recording.
Yes, there is a difference, but is the new one actually better? It's a matter of taste. The Celestion sounds brighter, but also harsher, at least to my ears. The standard one sounds more vintage.. Great comparison! I got the one of these and I am very satisfied...👍
@@antonakis79ohyes i think the Celestion has more mid too. Its what I prefer, but said that.. I prefer even more a classic ceramic speaker like a green or creamback. If had done that comparison, the benefit of the change would have been greater in my opinion. But I want to also demo this neo speaker. Thanks for the comment. #mfilesband
Is it just me, or did he accidentally say “Fender Hot Dog Deluxe” at 5:49? Love it! My guitar player has one and from now on, I shall refer to it as the Hot Dog Deluxe!
@@chrisbalding3128 its very possible.. let me check. Hahaha yep I chocked on that word, it came out as dog instead of rod, I was suffering from my allergies that day I also sneezed at some point hahaha amazing fun times on RU-vid.
@@mfiles_official Which version of the MV50 do you use? I have Clean and AC but haven't found a good speaker yet and I can hear that it's not a real tube sound
