Now in a pressure cooker/ cooking pot, add some cooking oil, sliced 1 md sz onion. Let the onions get pink. When its pink, add crushed sm piece of ginger and 2 cloves of garlic, fry. Add 1ts fennel seeds/ saunf crushed coarsely, ½ ts kaloongi, 1/3rd ts turmeric/ haldi, dry roasted cumin and whole coriander seeds coarse powder 1ts full, crushed chillies 1½ ts. Fry a bit, add 2 chickpeas cans along with its water, salt as required, 1 can water, 1 tea bag/ dry aamla. Pressure cook or if you are cooking this in a pot then add more water and cook which takes 1 hour or so. Once the chickpeas are cooked, remove the teabag and mix, it will thicken up.
