Get you some pump spray extra hold hair spray. Spray the intercooler boots before putting them on. Put them together wet and let dry. It will make a big difference in how long it will stay on. A good set of aftermarket intercooler boots will definitely help also. I've hair sprayed several intercooler boots and bhaf air intake hoses. Good to see you starting your own you tube channel.
Bout time you started your own channel. That or I’m just late to it lol. Side note ever thought of adding a spicer auxiliary transmission? There’s a 3spd one that has an under drive, direct drive and Overdrive in every gear. Sounds perfect for you since your truck is a 2wheel drive and high geared lol. I’ll be doing the auxiliary trans on one of my trucks in the future. After I finish my manual swap that I’m into atm.
@GarageOperator I've never heard of it. We have had half serious talks of Steven putting a 10 speed eaton in this thing. That would fix my stupidly high reverse but the gearing for 9th and 10th is the same as 5th and 6th in a 5600.
@@Throooo definitely! That would be awesome too! I’m actually doing a RTO6613 which is a 13spd In mine now. It’s alittle bigger then the RTO6610 the 10spd. There’s a few good videos of dudes doing the 10spd on here. Iv got a good amount of part numbers if you ever dive into it lmk.
@@Throooo ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ULfyKhCUXG0.htmlsi=lwyd2iIno-O4HRxv you can skip ahead to when he drives it. The auxiliary transmission is about the size of a transfer case. A divorced set up wouldn’t be too hard.
I got a 12v 4.10s and a nv4500. I’ve run it at 2800-3000rpms for hours. Going to be swapping to a g56 soon. I’m kind of considering 3.73s to drop some rpm’s but not have to change gears like you are with 3.55s ever couple mins.
My 99 dually with 3.55s acted just like yours does. It never really wanted to tow in OD it would always push the temps and EGTs. I gave up and just decided to be content towing at about 60mph. But I wasn’t trying to make money while doing it so it didn’t matter as much.
Josh, take your bhaf off and go to home depot with it. You must get plastic pipe or a coupler to put inside its collar for a proper tight and durable filter seal! Those filter necks aint ridgid enough to be clamped on!
You need to get a mishimoto intercooler decrease egt and Banks twin/dual ram intake manifold and Banks cold air intake. You will be impressed. Lower egt’s!!
Nobody takes their work seriously in this area. Got his truck back together and the only two leaks he had were the two that I told him he should replace. Crazy how after I worked on it he made it 2,700 miles across the country with a 15,000 lb tiny home in an almost 30 year old truck. Oh, I also told him to get new boots. His were covered in oil, hence why the one keeps blowing off. So the 3 things I warned him about. Face it, Mike. No matter how hard you try, I will always remain. I live rent free in your head.
@CPSteveMiller it didn't really need a reply. The valve cover gaskets are due, u warned me on the crank, we risked it to get the truck back out there, is what it is. And the boot has seen 57 psi at 28 years old, like I'm impressed. It hasn't leaked since
He did a great job. He warned me the crank might need a repair sleeve. Only 2 oil leaks left look to be rear main and valve cover gaskets. I'm using a ton less oil
Ya nobody can count actually they worked on his engine if he actually spent the money and to it to a real mechanic instead of his brother these idiots would not have videos
@@Throooo nobody now a days does a crank seal without a sleeve that's why they make them if you're brother didn't have constant excuses he would not have a channel how can you be proud of your BROTHER
