POP CEILING VS PLASTERBOARD CEILING 

Plaster boards have joints but you can easily hide them so it not much of a disadvantage

You forgot to mention the differences in structural aspects of the two. Sheetrock is pressed together by machines with thousands of psi. And it has a layer of paper around the entire board, which makes 2 layers of paper your fastener goes through. So when you nail the board on the walls or screw it up to the ceiling, the board is adding strength to your structure from the inside. Also, it still takes very skilled artisian work to finish sheetrock. It can also take alot of time, because you have to go over every seam 3 or more times for a completely flat, smooth look. If that's not done you will definitely notice where the boards meet. The seams are not as easy to hide as you think, even with a really heavy or rough texture. If those 3 or more coats aren't done right you will see the seams, even underneath the texture. You just underestimate how long it takes to hang and finish sheetrock, it takes longer than you think in order to make it look really good. Only if the client doesn't care about it looking perfect, then the sheetrock can be done fairly quick

The comments coming from you is not true. When there is leaks on pop it easily cracks. With plasterboard if you want a complex design ordinary person cant fix it for you. It requires an experience installer to be able to do it for. So next time dont say what you dont know to mislead people
