Can you find the rip current in this video? Look for the dark channel flowing seaward, between the incoming breaking waves.
Learning how to spot rip currents before you get in the surf is a fun way to connect to the natural environment and it makes going to the beach a bit safer, especially if you have children in tow.
Extra credit for the person who recognizes the beach. It looks like the Pacific Ocean and likely California to me, but I am not sure.
