Thank you from a fellow gardener who's trying to keep mine going, much less that lush! Finally the 100°+ and drought is over. Now fighting squirrels in my yard. They dig into my pots and knock them off the tables. Just rescued some snake plants that will stay indoors a few days. Isn't it soothing to walk into a room and see green around you? Last two years here in Austin, Texas there was an Arctic freeze for days in February -- all my fruit plants migrated to the kitchen. Noticed myself staying in the kitchen a lot. Set up sewing in there even. Shared table, chopping veg too, then the cat lies on fabric like of course that's for him. Peppermint, yum! Used to keep at my desk, rub a leaf and breathe in the scent to take away stress. I grow that for making an herbal drink with hibiscus etc. for energy and digestion.
@ JANET, TRY PUTTING SOME WIRE BASKETS OVER YOUR PLANTS & PUTTING A BRICK OR ROCK ON TOP OF BASKET TO HOLD IT DOWN SO THE SQUIRRELS CAN'T GET TO THE PLANTS AND DIG/BURY IN THEM --- THAT'S WHAT I DO BECAUSE I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM ($1.25 STORE HAS WIRE TRASH BASKETS, I USE THEM AS WELL BECAUSE OF THEIR HEIGHT, FOR TALLER GROWING PLANTS) GOOD LUCK AND HOPE EITHER IDEA WORKS FOR YOU 🐿🗑🌱
