A base belonging to the most notorious griefer in 2b2t history finally comes to light. My Twitter: / fitmc My Instagram: / fitmcsippycup Shirts: www.redbubble.com/people/fitm... Music: Homieonice ( / homieonice )
Thanks for being patient on this one everybody. I try to take you all to unique or unusual places on 2b2t, and sometimes it takes time to arrange travel to the locations on the server. #fitfam
FIt, i first started watching your channel, i was just an innocent 11 year old, now playing 2b2t and watching your videos has made me more mature as a 13 year old and i think this is a great also popbob still plays on his alt account(s) Mostly Known: morph_morph
It’s kind of like if you were to destroy Attila the Hun’s stuff in modern day. They were seen as evil back in the day but if you were to destroy it now you would be destroying part of history
Imagine writing a random book like "Lololol I'm so bored today" then five years later some dude comes by, finds the book and goes "OH GOD an ancient artifact!!! This is such a revelation!" And keeps it like a treasure.
he talks about this guy as if he was atila Huno, Genghis Khan or Ivan the Terrible or some genocide of humanity, the story inside this server is incredible, I believe it is the server with the most history of all games, he basically makes videos as if work at National Geography.
A over 10 year old server with millions of people on it in a almost infinitely large world. You make it sound as if would be even possible to tell personal stories like that in games that are produced with a story in mind.
“You build a sandcastle eventually the tide is gonna take it” I think a more appropriate metaphor is “you build a sandcastle eventually the beach bully kicks it into your eyes”
Not really. they'd just reveal the coords and other griefers may just rush in. Basically on 2b2t, griefers are just everywhere. Even if griefers came together to not grief the base, victims of popbob would come to take revenge.
man it just feels not right, it's like finding atlantis then throwing a nuke at it, even though it's just stone and some blocks, it has history you can't recreate that.
The library was only partially damaged in the seige of alexandria and continued to operate for hundreds of years... The same cannot be said of Ramiel's Watch
It was more like "robbed" and "vandalise" cause some of the builds have other stuff and broken parts indication players have been there and the signs so prob people robbed some of the items in it
I'm new to the 2b2t stuff, but these dudes are talking about crusades, the first plane, and artifacts lmao. A whole civilization has gone unseen by my mortal eyes.
@Faheem Mohammed Some of them are not "Laughing stock." A small amount of them are actually seen as legendary Like the third incursion with the spawn base known as the wrath outpost. And The spawn wall had many members from the community come together to build a wall to block the ants.
honestly i'd rather you download these than have a rough tour and then say "well i did my best" ://// so much left unexplored, what an incredible build
I had a little stone hut that I made in like 2014 on 2b2t it had a sign that said if you find this I'm probably dead. I found it in 2018 august... i broke the sign and made it say, "I'm still alive"
When I first heard of 2b2t: damn that’s pretty cool that there’s no rules or anything and it’s so wild. When I look into it more: 2B2T HAS DARK SOULS LEVEL LORE
One of the players who used that castle was a real medieval buff. Walpurgis (who the Grove in the ravine was named after) was the first woman to appear in a medieval sword fighting manual. That's a really cool addition to me.
As a man nearing 30, I appreciate that you provide MC content without the front-facing third person intro, with the random & sudden pan ins/pan outs, with you yelling "HeLlOoooOOooOOO!!!!!" to begin your video. Its nice to not feel 12!
I wonder if theres a griefer out there that just hunts bases, and then just break all the windows and doors but, that's it, that's the grief. you spawn in and all your doors and windows just, gone
on a server i used to play on there were places you could teleport to like admin bases and shit, and i would teleport there, mine every block, return home, then repeat the process until theres nothing left. it was a towny server so anything that wasnt nailed down i took
That would be better lol Like on Ark Survival Evolved... Break a wall or a door to get in and take all my good gear from my metal vaults with your C4 but don't kill my peaceful pets and don't flatten my castle lol at least let me rebuild instead of quit, more shit to steal that way smart
Watching a base get griefed literally minutes after you tour it was sad. Very sad. Especially since it had ties to popbob. But such is life on anarchy, and you have to give the griefer credit on crafting a good deal with Fit.
@@vab_ito7820 Fit admitted to orchestrating the Rusher War to keep 2b2t alive. Shortly before it started, Fit was one of the only few people playing on the server.
it's all saved on footage like some kind of old ww2 colored movie about ancient culture bfore getting destroyed, this's true history, it doesn't matter if it's a game
That music at 18:30 really sets the mood there. When the random griefer arrives, and sets up the explosives. The demise of the old build. Fit really knows how to make a block game dramatic, and I love it. (Personally if I ever got on 2b2t, I'd never want to destroy any base filled with such history) But damn, someone please tell me what that music is. XD
This is my favorite video on RU-vid. It genuinely shows what Minecraft can become and how it can show history, symbolism. Maybe I'm looking too deep into it but this video really inspires me.
Reminder that Popbob did nothing wrong. The man was just a person who wanted a large legacy after he left. He probably planned all this out because he wanted to leave. He could've simply been another footnote, now he's basically the "he who must not be named" of 2b2t. Godspeed Popbob, and activate all your almonds.

The genuine distress in your voice when the griefer arrives is a testament to your strong character, even on a server like 2b2t, ESPECIALLY regarding *Popbob* (of all people's) base! (3 minutes later): YEAH! WANTON DESTRUCTION!!!
rofl, exactly what I was thinking. Sometimes I think those people forget that not a single on them is applying any real skill other than being able to quickly cycle client settings.
@@chemistryenjoyer53 Sounds like assumptions being made in favor of facing facts. Let us say I suck ballsack. How does that change a single thing being said? You going to sit there and tell me kill aura, x rays, name tags through walls (and equipped items) and speed hacks aren't substantial things? Give me a break. I get why many people are 'forced' in a sense to hack to counter others who do it. I don't care, and that really doesn't change anything. A bunch of script kiddies congregating on a server that allows it doesn't somehow change reality. The bottom line is that playing on the server is a choice, and if you choose to use a client to cheat, then that makes you a cheater.
someone667 People that hack in servers like Hypixel and stuff says its for "fun." But I really think they downloaded hacks just cause they didn't have enough skill to pvp properly.
Perfectly preserved artifacts in the real world: I’ll delicately use a paintbrush to remove the dust from it for the better part of a week Perfectly preserved artifacts in 2B2T: FFFCUKGIN BLOW IT UP
@@bazzvid64 You say that, but a half-decade later, over a million people watched in revered silence at someone's creation in this video game. I think it has consequences.
This was Spikain's old base. The 2b2t newspaper was located near there. I controlled it for a time in early 2016 (just a month before Rusher), but as far as I know, popbob was not related to the base itself.
Also, popbob did not put up that sign or do anything at that base. I'm the reason the base was mostly empty, as I ransacked it back in 2016 after the fall of Space Valk. The wet sponge was one of mine most likely. The signs were all KingLouisXIV's. You also missed the original site of the 2b2t newspaper.
Only OGs who remember what the “interesting structure” at 6:32 is. Let me tell you: it would actually cook chickens. Like, you put the chicken on top of the red stone, and it would die.
dont hate the griefer. he just kept 2b2t's side of the bargain. 2b2t giveth, and 2b2t taketh away. nothing last forever, but isnt that the beauty of it all? amazing that the place existed for such a long time and everything got recorded.
I love hearing you talk about old players and old bases. Even though I've never experienced 2b2t and have no idea what you're talking about, the way you talk about it fills me with nostalgia.
Popbob as a normal person spent a lot of time drinking alcohol and he regularly used certain... restricted substances for his enjoyment. On top of that, from what PoliceMike and other players have told me, Popbob was extremely awkward. This led many people who were in voice calls or had prolonged friendships with him to believe he was somewhere on the spectrum of autism. This comment isn't a meme or anything, this is just what I have been told by real players who knew him, one having based with him at SquidBase.
Long time, ages ago. Wouldn't have had expected this video after i quit some years ago. I was a part of the build. Sadly. My name was Phantomber. And i was a part of the doorsteps and other secret rooms. That wasn't displayed and bombed. Or moreover just builds made for more to explore.
It really makes you think. So many memories from so many people are probably in that place. Some people may have forgotten but I'm sure many of them still remember.
A human only has so many days on this world. It's sad to see the work of so many of these days destroyed. The days put into that castle are gone and can never be taken back.
