We have alot of Jamaican movies and /or short films but the broadcasting commission are not willing to break bread and that is why it may seem as if we're so desperate to be apart of any film,so that we can be seen and heard
The INTENT is a good film.. With regards to the person who said they turned it off at the beginning when he said killing was in his DNA, He is referring to his father who always had a Gun around, and what do GUNS do? On another note how many BLACK FILMS get good reviews on rotten tomato's? That's like getting Tried by an all white KKK jury... Even Eddie Murphy's films got LOW marks on Rotten Tomato's. This is a street movie, A Black Street Movie. How many Caucasian's can relate to that? Do not say ,Straight Out Of Compton, because I am sure they gave it a bad review but ended up a box of Smash. Some movies have topics that you can relate to.
Are you giving The Intent a pass because it's a black street movie, or are you giving it a pass because it was a quality movie that's comparable to other movies that are of quality?
The Intent is streaming on Netflix. Watched the first 5 min and I'm pretty sure it's not for me. Dude claims being a gunman and killing is in his DNA WTF!!!! I'll probably hate-watch it eventually just so I can complain more
