We are not a synodal church, we are an apostolic church. Pray for the Pope.

When you consult people (laity) on how to run the Church and to better cater to their self-centeredness , you pretty much consult the spirit of this World. The Church isn't a business where it makes sense to ask patrons what they'd want and buy. People are people, they are no different today from what they were 2000 years ago: they NEED good guidance, not attendance to their whims (which are, indeed, the only things that keep changing overtime). Oh Lord, send your Holy Spirit for discernment and good guidance - that is what I pray for the clergy this month.

Much respect to you Fathers. I agree that introducing "novelties" to the Catholic faith is not going to fill empty pews and bring people to Christ..

As it was in the beginning, is now, and forever will be. Amen

I actually feel bad for my parish priest. It is obvious he is trying to hold a line in the middle of church politics. Trying to be sincere with Catholicism and still placate the woke crazy.

Are you Blessed Priests living under a rock? Saying that in the most charitable way.. i thank jesus everyday for giving me and my parish Truly traditional Holy Priests, whos eyes are completely unveiled as to whats going on..im sure they will implement nothing the sinodd has to offer

I think that priests don’t get enough credit from the hard work they do and it’s about time that they get recognized for all their work and dedication to us parishioners and our Parish. Good priests need to speak up and attend these types of meetings. The parish is the soul of the Catholic Church. The parishioners and the priests have a responsibility to build the church by using their gifts. And yes, prayer is most important in the Ministries of the parish and at our homes. Outside of the Mass, our prayers are always going to keep us in touch with each other and helping each other. Good discussion. Bring it up in your homilies. Praying for our priests.🙏

All the past synods have been bishops only. I don’t like the fact that there are those who are not Catholic, some atheist, And then you have some Catholics invited that don’t believe in a lot of the teachings of the church. How can these people have a voice when the synod is about change.

I simply think Francis needs to quit apologizing for everything wrong with the Church. As laity we have and we defend our Church best we can. So maybe our pope and our priests should stop with excessive guilt and celebrate our Church. Guilt is the devil's tool. Reinforce all that is good. Enough with the guilt junk.

I pray for all parish priests every day. God please guide them in this most troubling time. My prayer is that the parish priests speak up and stand together on issues. I hope this is not a way to “show” that the parish priests helped make the decisions but in truth the agenda and outcome is already set. It would be interesting to know where on the woke scale are the priests who have been invited.

What being neglected by church leaders from pope to the parish priests is the fact of how priests, bishops, cardinals and the Pope to live saintly in their daily lives to encourage baptized individuals to emulate not to living in like pagans' life posturing evil example. Don't be hypocrites by telling or proselytizing people in your parish by words but your deeds are evil one.

The whole synod about a synod is absurd .. .it is anti Catholic ... and of course a flattering nice letter does appeal to egos ... Living the faith means TEACHING the faith and pope Francis is doing anything but that. Tired of the "talking heads" get on with teaching the Catholic faith
