FINALLY! A realistic looking video with someone telling us how it tastes! I've seen so many of these videos where someone makes it wrong and then tries to eat it and they just say its nasty (Probably because they made it wrong XD) rather than give us what it actually tastes like. So Thank You for that! Also, I think making mini-things is a good idea because not only are they super cute, but they can be transported easier and make really great gifts ^_^
this was a sweet and relatable comment. I haven't been dealing with anxiety, but I do smile while watching her videos. She is very smart, calm, informative, and even a little opinionated and I love it. This is a relaxing channel and I'm glad others can relate.
I've only tried the sushi kit out of these three, I couldn't get over the texture and flavor of the rice but the candy soy sauce was amazing. As a man almost into my 30s I shouldn't have had as much fun making the fish eggs as I did.
As a woman almost into her 30's, I can honestly say I feel the same way. XD Things like that will NEVER stop being entertaining! I desperately want to try one of these kits, btw. I think the sushi one actually sounds the best. ^_^

When I was younger I would watch these kind of videos for hours by other RU-vidrs and now that I’m older you’ve become one of my favorite youtubers and this just brings back so many memories
I made these with my younger sister about 5 years ago. they were knockoffs from another country but were still pretty fun to make. I remember even though I was super young I knew it tasted bad but we enjoyed the process anyway!

Actually, we do have those in Australia. I've always found them in local Asian grocery stores (I live in Melbourne so Richmond was the place for me) (P.s I've tried all of these 😃)
I had the sushi version. I'm sure the reason they aren't popular anywhere else is because of the assembly and the fact that people might not feel like the taste was worth the effort, but I think the opposite is true. The assembly is what makes it special and fun; eating it is just an added bonus. {The fake sushi was my favorite flavor and texture, the rest was pretty plain. But still really fun. I had so many fish eggs left over though!!}

I found these the other day at my local grocery store and bought a couple for my kids. They was fun. I liked being able to spend time with my 13 yo son. He was actually interested in them lol he said the flavor threw him off. He was expecting ramen flavor but got Coca Cola flavor in the noodle soup one

I just made the sushi popin cookin. The process was really fun, but, just to tell everyone who wants to try this: IT IS A LOT HARDER THAN IT LOOKS! (at least for me) But Ann Readons was really good!

All of you who are saying that Shane needs to watch this video, or do it like this, or are calling him a dumbass, you NEED to realize that his sole purpose of his videos is comedy. He likes to do things differently for entertainment and for laughs. It wont be funny if he follows the directions step by step, now would it?! He likes to have fun with it and experiment. There is no specific rule saying "you MUST do it this way, or else"... Shane likes to do this Popin Cookin stuff his way, even if it means not knowing what in the world he's doing! That's just the way he is :)
Yes I bought a large bundle of them. In my opinion the cake ones taste the best. Its not skittles and sour patch kids and starburst good but its best of the Popin Cookin brand. Most of them like the takoyaki one taste disgusting but I think its only me. My roommate and dog liked it :)

I've seen some other videos of poppin cookin and some say it taste bad, some say it taste good or alright. I'm really curious because I want to personally experience it! I can tell that the cake one taste good! have you tried the ice cream one? If so, how is it?
Miss Effenaii Its very similar to the cake one. The dessert ones taste very similar and sugary but the icing from the cake and the ice cream taste very similar without any real taste. The cake biscuit distinguished it. The meal ones like the bento and takoyaki and burger taste varied but nothing like they are supposed to. I don't like them but I have a hardcore sweet tooth so I'm biased.
