Poppin' Smoke with Kiki - Dance Photos

In this video, Kiki and I create some pretty epic dance photos with smoke all around for a cool vibe! We shoot plenty of smoke shots, some hair whips, and I throw the camera in to burst mode for a couple cool sequences at the end! Check them out!

I shot these photos with the Canon EOS R5 and paired it with the Canon 85mm f1.2. We shot some natural light and strobe with the GODOX AD600.

I’ve not really had any issues other than wind. I know where I can pop them and where I cannot.

Great video. I really like the idea of the dance poses. My question would be. what type of focus do you use and which part of the model do you focus on?

I use my Eye AF and servo for most. It’s incredible on my camera.

Great content as always! When you take these dance shots, do you use high speed continuous shutter or are you able to capture in the moment?

Most often I time the shot. You have to time it when shooting OCF. However sometimes if shooting natural light, like the end of this video, I show the burst capability of the camera. I prefer to time it though.

@photosbynatalierose yes it mostly was. I did light some shots…the photo montage in the middle with the black outfits with the green surrounding. I tried to time the smoke shots, but I did shoot burst at the end.

Great content as always. I got a question I bought beauty dish 42 inch and c stand and godox 400pro. To compensate my money should I have to sell all my flashguns or I have to keep them. Thx
