Okay but did you watch until the end though? The first part wasn't as bad because it was all just promo stuff but it gets so much worse. An interviewer's job isn't to flirt with their subject anyway, it's to learn about them.
I bet if you would sit there and interview her - you would fuck up extremly. I mean this guy tried his best and she sounds so uninterested, so its hard to have a normal conversation. Its her fault.
that's her character, she acts emotionless. Interviewers should do their research and prepare accordingly. They need to be aware there's going to uncomfortable silences if they don't do something about it.

I don't think her being underage matters, just because she's an adult doesn't make his creepy behavior acceptable. The fact that he seemed to legitimately think she was under 20, hell even 18 even though he said late teens which usually means up to 19 is indeed weird and creepy, but I hope that doesn't make you think it's still okay to harass and perv on women regardless of age
People keep interviewing them... the wrong way. The guy from NPR is like the only person who I've seen do it right, he's the only one who didn't just make her and/or Titanic feel super uncomfortable.

I've watched a lot of Poppy and a lot of Poppy interviews. I've admired her work for years now. But I don't think I've ever seen her break character as much as she did in this interview.
I love how she pointed out the hypocrisy by saying "Hello Poppy here and I'm vegan" because that is something that she didn't open with and I had no idea about until this video. He asked about bbq so it came up naturally, like most other vegans. Ppl don't see it when they're not vegan but imagine how many times ppl cook, offer food, or to go out to eat, what're you suppose to say? Oh no thanks I don't eat chicken, fish, eggs, mayo, milk, butter, meat etc.. it's just something we're forced to share and then all of a sudden we're the pushy ones because we speak out from the corner into which we've been pushed.

he was NOT being creepy or flirty. he was slightly awkward and trying to be f r i e n d l y. adding comments that make him SEEM creepy and flirty and others like ‘his breath smells like toilet’ and calling him dumb is rude. sure he doesn’t seem like a fantastic person or one who’s personality goes well with poppy’s but that is not an excuse to post a video just to make fun of him.
The creepiest thing about this video is how it’s edited and all the stupid captions you put in the video, like you’re speaking for her. it was literally a normal interview, with light flirting, the interviewer’s job is to ask people questions and ask about their content, he’s not asking her age to know if she’s legal, he’s asking because it’s literally his job to ask people questions.
She is proof that you need do nothing more than be a Barbie doll with absolutely no talent to get attention. She is musical? No. She's an actress and through massive marketing has gotten people's attention. The problem is there is no substance here. Just another hype vehicle.
