I actually didn’t realize this was a nightmare! I thought it was just Huggy/Catnap messing with you lmao Though that makes sense since you don’t have a grabpack and can’t run
Can we all agree that whoever did the narration for that video did an amazing job? Going from delightful assurance to chilling scorn. I always come back to this, not just for how scary it is, but also how impressive it sounds.
I love how this VHS tape is so personal and really represents the guilt of the employee. The red smoke is already an unsettling concept enough, but seeing it mess with your perception of the facility around you is really cool. I appreciate that Huggy Wuggy is still dead for good, and only made a terrifying return in a nightmare rather than unrealistically coming back.
Humans already survived faling from way higher, Huggy Wuggy is way more durable than a human And he's the mascot, he could come back, wouldnt be unrealistic
@@metalsonic4.1therobothedge24any human who has ever fallen that far may have lived but if you don't recall he was hitting pipes and showing blood on every one, that pit had no escape so he ither died when he hit the bottem or starved.
@@metalsonic4.1therobothedge24 1st of all be probobly would bleed to death beffore getting back up and if he did he would still die due to the lack of food in the area, he is 100% dead
The nightmarish Huggy Wuggy face that appears on screen was actually supposed to be used in chapter one, but it ended up being scrapped, It's interesting that they used it several chapters later. Also, there was an unused map where Huggy Wuggy would chase the player in an untextured building, Huggy Wuggy didn't have any animations, I assume the developers gave the idea a second chance and finished it.
This speech is genuinely amazing. There are so many layers of meaning to it that I love. I love the idea that our character’s guilt of conscience is manifesting in his hallucination that Catnap has caused. But I also love how the description of the toys hunting our protagonist feels like it’s coming from Catnap. Makes it feels like Catnap can somewhat influence what his victims see.
I had to turn around, because even though I knew what was coming, I still wasn’t sure what to expect. Atmosphere is what really hits me the most in games, as it causes the elements to get inside my head, and control my thinking.
thats right! and thats also why i was a little disappointed from the boss fight.. the tension that built up over the course of the game was scarier than the actual fight at the end
and... should you come back... years later... your conscience finally getting the better of you. May you descend into the dark and the dust, finding all that awaits you are incomprehensible horrors... each hungry for your return eager that they might find you. Perhaps they'd smile at you from a shadow, their smiling mouths full of teeth and meat and plastic, watching and waiting patiently for their turn at a warm welcome. Or perhaps they won't allow you such time to figure your place in the world you'd left. A world that's theirs now. Welcome home
Bienvenido a casa
For some reason the regular Huggy Wuggy on TV freaks me out more than the nightmarish version. He never scared me in the first chapter, no, but his blank stare from the screen during the monologue about the things protagonist done really unnerves me
Yeah, I don't think the game design was the best. I was standing pretty close to the tv, and then it forces you to watch it. I though it was a cutscene and that you couldn't move lol
This gives me those haunting vibes from Pennywise and a Freddy Krueger nightmare where things go from okay to unexpectedly being scary when you didn't expect it.
I really do wonder what the relationship between tbe player and Huggy is. Cause a majority of the chapters (at least after 1) Huggy is the only one that left and impact or is technically haunting him. He even had a nightmare version of him in this dream and even had huggy standing there menacingly in his second nightmare. Mommy, Catnap, nor did miss delight show up except Huggy. (Well the prototype did but ya know.) Even in the beginning of chapter 1 when you first encounter Huggy, he doesn't immediately attack you. Hell he even gives you a key to persue the factory. It wasn't until the player started operating everything that caused huggy to feel suspicious and stalk him. Then when he made a toy, which is the reason these creatures are in this predicament, is when he saw you as a threat. I don't think Huggys dead since we didn't see a body or any other visual confirmation....so this'll be interesting
Basically that actually happens in most real nightmares when someone or something terrifying is trying to get you and then the nightmare ends, looks like the devs really know anything about real life nightmares.
By far one of the best moments in poppy playtime. The dialogue and delivery was perfect. Hinting background lore of the character we play and the guilt they have
When chapter 1 came out, i was like "its just another horror game." When i watched chapter 3, it was actually scary, which is rare coming from me because i never get scared at games. The DogDay scene, the huggy wuggy scene, chapter 3 is the goat. I also feel like one of the devs had a few nightmares, remembered it, and decided to go "They'll feel my pain." Then proceeded to make an actual nightmare.
