I know some people were upset that it takes them so long to make new chapters, but honestly I’m happier when it takes longer because it means the devs care about how well their game is made. This game is made incredibly well and is a blast to watch

I feel like "The Hour of Joy" would make a great movie, showing everything that happened before the game once the series is complete.

Catnap is by far the scariest thing from this game. Big step up from Huggy and Mommy's kid friendly and goofy designs

Kissy Missy looking at the photo of the small girl who could possibly be her made me feel so much sympathy for her. She must have gone through a lot when discovering the horrors of the factory.

Catnap’s head following you like he was a haunted painting (starting at 2:57) was pretty unsettling. Sometimes not seeing him is worse but I think seeing him doing that would be awful.

At first I wanted more Catnap, but watching catnap literally stalk you (hallucination or not) is very scary, that entire sequence in the houde he was literally there and we couldn't see him. I love that. They put in so much work.

19:48 The way the man calls Catnap "bud" and talks him like if he was a child when the VHS begins just breakes my heart. It makes me think that Catnap will always be a child, even if he did horrible things just for his God, and even if he has that terrifying deep voice and even with those scary looks.

24:04 Notice that the Prototype copied his voice word to word "I learn something new about you every day" This hints to one of the greatest power of the Prototype that they tried so hard to understand: the power of adaptation. It managed to escape at least once, build itself piece by piece, using other toys, it managed to control everything and with the Hour Of Joy escaped and ruled the whole factory. I wonder how you will be able to defeat him if he just plays with MC it seems. Or maybe he's interested in MC since he defeated so many toys and wants to learn more about him.

The fact that catnap also follows the camera angle is beyond creepy

A lot of people say catnap didn't really attack us much and the game lacked bc of that, but what If there was no reason for catnap to pursue us much at all since for the most part the actions of the protagonist didn't quite affect the plans of the prototype in the big scheme, after all both him and poppy seems to have a hand into whatever the protagonist is doing and where they go

Catnap... a creepy looking creature that were use to be a little boy.... I never thought he would make those altar... its creepy as heck!

If chapter 4 is the final chapter of the game, i feel like its going to take place in the Laboratory, probably deep underground where they experimented on all subjects. If it's true, it's going to be a lot more dark, and have much more horror since it's the prototypes home.

That last scene with catnip and the prototype is almost portraying the painting The creation of Adam. The religious aspect of it is nuts

I hope the proto type isn’t just a robot with a skull for a face as everyone is making him out to be. I hope it’s like a classic toy design since poppy says “they’re all disciples of the original” like don’t just make a horrific robot. Please make him a classic puppet looking toy. But then again mommy long legs said he’ll make me part of him. So maybe he’s building a body to break out or something

it's so sad that Kissy Missy is hurt by the Prototype, shes also clearly on edge of everything, but I'm devastated if we loose her, she may have been in the Hour of Joy but that's because shes always on edge or afraid, a theory said that it was the Prototype who attacked her so the player and Poppy would be forced to fight him since Catnap was the last one before we got to the Prototype.

Fun fact: in the home sweet home if you wonder why our hands disappeared in the red smoke is because the person we are playing as had passed out from the red smoke and was having a violent nightmare just like in the news in the start

1:08 the shrine has me thinking, is there Multiple of each monster because first of all there is two huggys and pugapiller. 2, bunzo was placed way to high up catnap couldn't have been able to reach him. 3, we saw mommy long leg's lower section gets torn up by the shredder but we see her lower section intact on the shrine

Some of the cardboard cutouts have dialogue after the screams. For example, CraftyCorn says "That's MUCH better", implying she used the "red" aka blood.

I’ll be honest, they really did a huge leap in tone for Chapter 3 with the designs being nightmarish and sinister along with Poppy actually having emotions and not to mention the entire plot of The Hour Of Joy along with its really brutal VHS Tapes Kudos to the devs they are finding some solid ground here despite having a large fanbase of kids that definitely should not be playing the game

The monument to the Prototype is very unsettling. I'm actually unnerved to see what it really looks like.

Is it just me or is it kind of creepy that even though bro is no clipping out of reality and breaking the game, CatNap's gaze is still following you.

Does anyone have thought about those cardboard dialogue are actually kind of horrifying and have some meaning behind it. Especially dogday one, telling you exactly not to stay here. While Picky piggy one is somehow referencing other smiling critters, indicating he is affected by the prototype. KickinChicken saying "pretty red outside", indicating the red smoke from catnap and had not seen anything like that before, then he is somehow affected or killed with the screaming. I don't know guys, just a thought

Honestly this chapter by far was the scariest and I'm glad it took them so long cause clearly the wait was so they could make this chapter as creepy as possible. I need them to take this long everytime if the result come out looking half as good as this.

Man this chapter feels like BATIM chapter 4, where you finally meet up and find out about stuff but the lore is more clear then bendy's

I find it cool that unlike other games were just shows a bodyless figure was just a head. It actually makes the full characters instead of just adding a bunch of junk and untextured stuff even though they know the players aren't going to see it

How does he know so much about the behind the scenes machinery and power system? How has he survived if there’s no food? I’m giving Ollie a bombastic side eye He also reminds me of Gregory 😂

So Kissy Missy was faking the scream and is actually working with the prototype! This plot twist gonna be crazy in chapter 4 🔥🔥🔥

Everyone who thinks the mommy and huggy on the statue are the ones we beat there not if you look they are much smaller than the ones we beat so perhaps the real prototype is similar with the ones we defeated as part of his body but I’m pumped to see what prototype looks like

Tbh I love how this chapter expanded our character’s motivations and the reason why the factory shut down, it was good lore building

The Prototypes multiple voices reminds me of the Master from Fallout. If the Prototype is a massive amalgamation of collected toy parts and flesh he could look just as disturbing as the Master as well which would make an awesome reveal

My Poppy Playtime Lore Theory: Our protagonist is Harley Sawyer or someone important that had something to do with the experiments: In chapter 2 we go down a slide that brings us to a room. When we turn around we see 4 slides. 3 visible names of the heads of the innovation team and 1 completely purposely covered and ruined with the letters of the name everywhere on the floor. I believe it’s our protagonist’s name. (Still haven’t seen someone try to make a name out of the letters) In chapter 3 The Hallways with the radio talking about a dead body of a child found outside the premises of the facility in a muffled bag with missing bones, spine and organs is actually what I suspect our protagonists doing before escaping the facility and leaving the bag to be found (because of our guilt) so people could realize what was going on in the facility. Catnap is the only creature with bones and a very visible Spine. He was the kid found in the muffled bag. The place is structured the same as in the infamous horror game ‘Silent Hill PT.’ It’s way to hint to us that this is our protagonist having PTSD going on having guilt trip while hallucinating his actions. The kids pictures are hallucinations of the children our protagonist knew and eventually transformed into toys. The prototype is making us experience the horrors that we created guiding us through the facility with VSH Tapes he purposely placed, using Poppy, and making us undo all our wrong doing making us kill all the toys/horrors we created along the way. Who and what is the Prototype?: The Prototype might be an amalgamation of different kids and employees. (Elliot Ludwig too) The same employees they wanted to get rid of. That explains the skeleton with the construction worker’s helmet. Catnap was tasked by the prototype to put Poppy in stasis with the poppy gas to keep her safe during the “Hour of joy” therefore not being able to do anything and listening to all the horrors while under the gas and vividly hallucinating everything. A Horrible Experience as she describes. We find hung toys in catnap cell, and later on we see him scooping up a small Bunzo Bunny. It was Catnap who hung all the toys around the facility and outside poppy’s room, warning other toys not to get in that room therefore protecting Poppy from the the toys going berserk during the Hour of joy, as the Prototype asked. (He even placed the prototype’s introduction tape outside of her room). In Chapter 3 we can find some “Baby Cots”: The baby infants that disappeared got transformed into the small smiling critters that later crawl towards the player just like babies because they never got taught to walk. Poppy’s Angel: When Dogday refers to us as “Poppy’s Angel” because Poppy calls us like that, I think she is implying we are the Angel of death. In certain horror stories the Angel of death is attributed to serial killers or Surgeons (Doctors) Just like i suspect our protagonist, Harley Sawyer or a cruel surgeon that took part in the experiments. At the end of chapter 3, Poppy and the prototype, lead us down to the Laboratories or as someone found out going through cut files, a “Prison” (a sign was found in beta version) she needs us down there “to kill the prototype”. We know the prototype was held in a cell, But how would the prototype still be trapped down there if the vault was sealed shut and we see him roam around the whole facility through all the chapters following us? Very suspicious. I think she and the prototype might be planning to bring us to the laboratories and use our body as a vessel (Just like in FNAF when our body gets scooped and occupied by the amalgamation, the prototype is an amalgamation too and he might be scooping the toys as Mommy Longlegs says to “make me part of him” so he can make everyone finally escape in a human body.) that’s why Poppy says: “we need you”. The Protagonist’s PTSD: The Screams we hear from pressings the buttons on the cardboard cutouts, might be flashbacks or some form of ptsd from when the protagonist was experimenting (transforming) the kids into the “smiling critters” while they where still conscious. We know that the gas triggered some memories and flashbacks visually and audible too. that explains why the smiling critters are talking directly to the protagonist. I think since the beginning of the game the cardboards don’t actually work and in reality they all Buzz or glitch like some that we find malfunctioning. The ones we are able to hear is because our PTSD triggers and flashbacks of the children our protagonist directly Experimented on. The Buzz or glitching of some cardboards is because our protagonist didn’t experiment on them and therefore it doesn’t trigger ptsd or direct memories that makes our protagonist hallucinate voices because we didn’t have direct connection with those experiments or children. The cardboard talking directly to us was a big clue. Kissy Missy’s death and the return of Huggy Wuggy: In Chapter 3 Kissy Missy turned blue for a good moment when she first catches us before being stopped by Poppy in chapter 3. It was a very weird purposely lighting color change. I strongly believe that this is Mob Games hinting at us that Kissy was going to get killed by Huggy Wuggy. He’s back, he never died. Huggy has always been stalking us since the beginning of chapter 1. He crawls through vents to peek at the player (most people don’t notice this detail while playing) In chapter 2 you can find his “Furr”and blood next to some vents and walls. In the end of chapter 3 You can clearly hear Huggy’s jumpscare/attack scream. Kissy was not designed to be dangerous as Huggy Wuggy. Huggy was designed to be a Security System, meant to kill and have those sharp teeth. I don’t think kissy can even emit a sound or even open her mouth. It’s a bit far stretched but could it be possible that Kissy’s body is going to be used by a badly injured Huggy, to get revenge against us when we least expect it in the next upcoming chapters? (This would explain Kissy Missy’s suspicious color shift) Who is Ollie?: A mysterious and very suspicious character that sometimes refers as “We” for some reason. All of us think he’s a surviving kid, but the math doesn’t add up, in the present time, when chapter 3 takes place, he should be 18 years old or more. Then why does he sound like a child? The only explanation is that he is a child in a toy’s body as well. He’s been watching us ever since we turned on the power of the facility in chapter 1. Spying on us through the CCTV cameras we see all around the facility, Opening doors and vents for us. Even back when Huggy Wuggy first chases us through the vent, he was closing doors not to get us killed but to make sure we reached poppy. In Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 poster shows us the hand of the prototype ‘controlling’ Mommy Long Legs, therefore telling us ‘The Prototype Has Control Over Everything’ "That shrine, did it scare you? If you thought that was terrifying just wait until you see the real thing!" Ollie is admitting that he himself has seen the Prototype. (Because he is part of it) I strongly believe Ollie is a voice/soul part of the amalgamation of the Prototype. Edit: He might be the “Security System” that Elliot Ludwig, in the first VSH tape in Chapter 1, was referring to. An Artificial Intelligence, AI, or soul of a child) with access to all the security systems of the facilities. 16:44 The fact that Ms.Delight (presumably the one in game) was so insane that when Catnap came back to her after she'd eaten the lther teachers she wanted to know where the kids were so she could kill them too is so disturbing, seeing as how the prototype (and thus the toys listening to him and under his control) we're only supposed to kill staff it shows that she was so far gone that the prototype couldn't even affect her anymore. Which could be why after she's defeated we don't see her getting carted off by the prototype like with every other main defeated enemy that dies.

Catnap's altar is such great foreshadowing. We already know that when a 'toy' dies, their body is taken and they become a part of the Prototype, and here are all the toys compiled together to make a figure. The skeleton probably represents whoever is inside the prototype, the bodies are obviously those he 'absorbs', and possibly this could be a hint at what the prototype looks like(or maybe did look like). There's the human as the 'head', a huge coil in the middle that looks like ribs, and two possible arms - the one limb with the bunny speared onto it looks like the spidery hand we keep seeing. EDIT: Dogday is so sad. I get that it's "The dogdays are over"... but watching him die was just a small insight into what the hour of joy and last 8 years were like...

See, this game would be SO much scarier if it weren't so dark all the time! If I could SEE CatNap being a freaky weirdo I'd be much more afraid of him. Lighting is so important in these games.

MY COMMENTARY THE SHRINE The detail of the catnap plush being stabbed through the mouth at 0:50 is so cool. When in the actual game Catnap ALSO gets stabbed in the mouth by prototype at the end! There's also dogday being sorta-hanged at 1:25 just as he is in the game but that one seems a little more far-fetched. Huggy sitting on the edge at 0:24 could represent his death as well, as he fell off the edge in the first chapter because of the player. In 1:15 Kissy could represent her death as her reaching for poppy as she was going down on the elevator in the 3rd chapter. Then in 1:27 Mommy Long Legs being all tangled and "stretched" from her death in the shredder, one of her arms noticeably missing. 0:20 this of course could represent the prototype being the all holy, the head of all the other creations. Or it could give a hint to the end of the player perhaps. But the skeletal figure is more of a resemblance to the skinniness of the prototype. SMILING CREATURES CUTOUTS I also like how in 27:29 picky piggy describes the other smiling pals/creatures as yummy food. It could be a hinter to picky piggy being the first to be effected by catnap's gas and wanting for others to worship prototype alike him. Picky Piggy begins to target his friends in the order he mentions i suppose, going from roast beef which could be him being got by CatNap. The Kickin' chicken who wanted to finally leave, being targeted by piggy next the elephant who most likely saw piggy's actions and remembered them. Also getting eaten. With the unicorn(30:36), it might be her having a relation with Piggy and being spared until last. Also having a relation with kickin' chicken who wanted to leave. Of course the unicorn refusing to do so. Eventually she also becomes influenced by catnaps gas beginning to grow selfish with her violence. Fighting with Piggy over it, then they brawl it out and murk each other. With the rest, they were survivors of piggy but downfall to themselves. Hoppy hopscotch convincing himself to press the backspace button for like 20 seconds at 29:02 (also might just be up for interpretation) same with bobby bearhug at 29:47 and her breakdown. But with the way they both mention the moon it could be Hoppy dying and Bobby having to deal with that, being in love with Hoppy. Either that or they could've been besties! But in the end they went to meet each other in the afterlife instead. That or they could be talking about wanting CatNap to come back, or wanting to be with the old Catnap. No longer having the ability to do so. And dogday at 30:17 being an obvious reference to his current self in chapter three telling the player to run, meeting his ultimate demise in the end.

0:30 i think that is a statue honoring the prototype, because prototype would be waaaay bigger than that, even more considering the size of the hand that killed catnap at the end
