I live in the usa and want a kei truck and kei van, but no the stupid government defy the freedom of purchase and freedom of choice by not allowing citizens to purchase these unique vehicle unless it's obsolete in 25 years. Thank you Mercedes you greedy corporation, hope karma hit them hard and affect their wallet. 😪
You can get them street legal in most states if they're imported after being 25 years old. There are many dealers and people selling them already titled. It's not new, but the ones imported are generally well kept examples with just a few minor cosmetic issues. The 1999 and up models offer fuel injection across the board, so I'd wait until 2024 and import one of those, personally.
I think the reason Kei cars are popular because of the tax break in Japan. Then again I have a ktruck because of the limited parking at my home. The cheap price was a motivation, also.
Awesome video, I can not wait to get them now it is close to be able to purchase semi new kei vehicle and be driven In the streets of united semi comunist state. I am looking at the 2000 year model kei trucks and kei van. Mercedes and other gmc corporate can eat dog turd, kei vehicles are coming to town and i hope they dominate American market and streets.
Story & history is very well explained which should entice the world in the use of such a vehicle. Low cost to obtain plus great fuel economy and the biggest is its versatility. Did you hear the journalist😮 These can be partners to us and our economy. $30 fill up can go about 300 miles....I fill up my Chevy Avalanche 2500 takes $120 and I can get about 275 miles out of that, so why not.
