I hear ya. I put about 1k extra into the van, that I didn't have to on the truck. So that balanced it what I would have spent extra at mitsui. Either way they are both pretty good to work with. Good luck!

I stumbled upon your channel when looking at Kei Trucks. I love your content. I live in South Florida & wondered about the laws about owning these gem vehicles for an everyday local driving. Mitsui sounds like a great place to start looking. Thank you for posting your vids!

Thanks for sharing your Mitsui adventure! Their detailed photos, videos and their well laid out website was the biggest reason why I went with them. Their youtube channel is very active as well and I love watching all their new inventory roll in everyday. That was very nice of them to give out those custom plates because it was Black Friday sale exclusive!
Bought from Mitsui almost 2 years ago. Still driving my 1997 Daihatsu Atrai Liberno Turbo (two tone like the one at 14:42). The 2 front shocks were blown when I got the van, Mitsui quickly sent me some functional ones.
Wow awsome video, I had contacted him through your link and they are fast to respond. This will be my first import car a real JDM. This video definitely helped me decide because it just seems daunting to purchase something over seas.
Great video and very informative. I used car from Japan and had a great experience. I am considering another Kei truck purchase and based on your recommendation will give Mitsui a try.
@@inkandpistons Since Texas made mini trucks legal for title, if you had a service where you imported them and titled them I'd be all over it. I think I'm too scared to go through the process on my own. Keep up the videos!
Back in 1980's I owed a Honda 600 coupe, I loved it. My motorcycle engine powered car was awesome, even with 2500 for a full rebuild of engine / transaxle. I would love as a widower to get my hands on a mini in van configuration like KIKI
Hilariously timed - I was looking at Mitsui for the last couple of months debating on picking up a Kei van (I'm on the hunt for a 94 to 97 Daihatsu Atrai, with or without turbo) and they kept showing up with much better pricing and photos. Very responsive as well. Thanks for the video, hope you guys had a blast in Japan
@@davem6480 for sure. Sometimes it's just cleaning stuff up a bit and a quick repaint.. Mechanically I think they do pretty great work.. but most of these dealers don't do anything at all so little victories

I just ordered my first Kei truck. Haven't got shipping details yet but I have got an invoice. I'm located in FL (using Jacksonville port) & have a question. Can I use the invoice to title the vehicle or do I need a "bill of sale". Not sure what the technical difference is
You'll probably get the bill of sale and the final invoice in the package you'll receive eventually with the title. I'm not sure which one they will require for registration.. possibly both of them. Invoice may contain stuff like shipping costs insurance etc. added in bill of sale will just be car cost . If not have them resend one . .. customs and the state SHOULD only charge tax on vehicle price not the shipping cost
@inkandpistons i was curious too. if you have all other paper work except bill of sale or if bill of sale is it someone else name would their be and issue registering .?
@@robbii-sanmarryshow7251 I'm not a 100% sure. If the bill of sale isn't someone else's name, you'll probably have to have them sell it over to you. With a new bill of sale
