Oh a few more things I forgot to add! -What they said about not trying to fit in is so, so, SO important. As a freshman, I was so concerned with being super popular and other things that really don't matter. At all. And I was changing my outward personality all the time to try and appeal to people and as a result, I had very few friends. That being said, don't try to rebel against everybody either. I tried that in sophomore year during my "rebellious phase" and I am now extremely embarrassed by that entire year so I am going to stop talking about that now. Honestly, being openly myself has paid off in so many ways because I have so many more friends and I'm happier and much more confident. When people see a genuine person, they WILL want to be friends with that person. -Toxic friendships! I am currently in a toxic friendship that I unfortunately can't get out of (but I only have another year in that friendship so it's 🆗) but honestly, do try to cut out negativity from your life!

Kels honestly the whole "groups" and "social divisions" this is there more in Middle School... it's not really a thing in my High School.

Mental health is so, so, SO important. I mentioned this in another comment, but over 2/3 of the students in my school (including me) suffer from mental health disorders because of our extremely academically oriented community. I mean, our average SAT score is over 2000 and it is an expectation to take at LEAST 3 or 4 APs/honors classes, maintain a 4.0 or above, do several extracurriculars, have a social life, AND get into a UC. Sleep is a bonus. This was how I spent my junior year. I survived off of 4-5 hours of sleep a night, and by the end, my mental health was at an all time low and I developed an anxiety disorder and it sucks butt : ( Sorry for rambling on your comment, but as somebody who's gonna major in psychology, mental health is extremely important to me and I am so, so glad somebody brought this up!

+tia tin i do : / it's reduced quite a bit since summer ended, and i've mostly stopped getting panic attacks, but i do get stressed EXTREMELY easily. I am working to learn how to control my anxiety though. Hopefully soon your anxiety will subside as well!
