Porcupines are incredible animals, I love them ❤ they use their quills for self deffense against predators, so it makes sense that a spiritual use of these quills would be for protective purposes as well ❤ for 2-3 days I'm trying to purchase the quills from various online shops, but always there's some inconvenience on the way XD Luckily I've found a few that can be shipped to my country without legal issues XD greetings from Poland, fellow beautiful soul ❤
I too love that some of the spiritual virtues are very aligned to their physical eg I found a plant that's used as a fence around the home and spiritually it's for protection too
Thank you for sharing your insights. I do not have any quills in my collection yet, but I am continuously drawn to them at my local natural history shop. At the beginning of the latest iteration of my spiritual journey, I began using more tools such as crystals, candles, herbs and botanicals, inscence and sound in my practice. I moved cross country and had to identify new sources for my tools. I am finding that animal Ase is starting to present itself more conspicuously to me for my practice. I have found feathers, bought shells and recently invested in a Gemsbok horn to focus Energy. I keep looking at the quills when I am at the shop, so I think they must be making their Energy available to my awareness. I feel like I need to be respectful of how these items are collected, as well as of the Life and Ase of the creatures that provided them. Thank you again, so much for sharing your experience! PS: I understand the connotations of certain decriptive terminology, but I sometimes like to present an irreverance about my practice by reclaiming such stereotyped vocabulary as Witch Doctor, Witchcraft (thought I am technically not a practitioner of this religion) and Black Magick (because I am Black). Hahaha thank you for this response. Yes it would speak the quill is sending subtle yet strong hints. About how the items are acquired, yes there is indeed a chance that it could have lacked some respect so I say before using them, we send light to the animal to help heal any harm that may have resulting from the harvest then thank it for its sacrifice.
