Having worked alongside Mr Bush for many years, in fact I played the "landlord" in his first movie "The Cockwell Inn", I can honestly say the guy is one of the best to work with. It's important for a director to understand his performers and give them the free reign to do what they do best to keep the sex fluid, entertaining and ultimately stimulating for its audience. A great guy and is why he has stood the test of time in an ever changing business.

This guy is so open-minded and so down-to-earth. It's really nice to see someone who cares about the models, both male and female, and tried to make them comfortable, because not every director is like him, at all, and not all workplaces are like his. Many established pornstars talk about abusive conditions and the lack of respect given to the models.

Great interview. I worked as an intern with Rick for a year in 2007 when he just started with Relish. Spent a lot of time goofing around with him in the editing suit. Good ol days. Glad to see he hasn't changed 1 bit.

I really feel like he could've been an amazing director in a film industry alongside with the legends like Steven Spielberg and the others. He is really committed into making storylines and actions when he graduated. I guess I don't wanna doubt since I think he loves what he directs now so, nothing but respect.

This interview illustrates a lot of what I had already knew. It's a business. There's good people and pleasant sets and there's damaged / bad people and bad sets to work on.

The internet really made the porn industry a whole new level of degenerate. We've all watched it, but I still think most people have the intuition that the vast majority of porn is a net negative to society by being an obstacle to social development, forming healthy relationships, and having healthy expectations around sex. The people who work in this industry and the people who put money into this industry are doing a disservice to humanity and themselves.

The sex act with the rod he refers to is called "sounding". I dated a girl who, as we got to know each other, eventually told me that she was almost exclusively watching porn which involved this particular act. That was our last date.

The analysis of making porn is that it appears very mechanical with very much the same standards as 'common movie making' as nobody wants a crappy low focus shot, bad lighting or other anomalies, so you operate from your side of the lens ensuring everything is good and the people just have far from normal sex with bizarre angles following well thought instructions to get good shots. The more experienced stars will know what works so it makes life easier and everything runs smoothly.

As a Voice Actor... for porn (mostly)... It's nice to find out that other people have the same kinds of jobs... It's nice just knowing I'm probably not the only guy who feels like an idiot grunting and groaning and carrying on to a microphone and a laptop... Thankfully in the relative privacy of my own home... AND we do form fairly tight-knit units... My primary animator and the gal who voices the other character(s) most often involved are part of my Discord... AND there's always some sharing about the films... and our approval, or occasionally feedback for when we catch something in the frame rate or a graphic fault... and we can tell the animator about it... and figure it out... AND no, I'm not against voicing other characters and films... I'd be happy enough doing just about anything... Sometimes they just need a male voice to brush up the soundtrack for whatever reason. Sometimes (like my regular job) it's about getting the whole video together... AND we recently had a laugh... My co-star remarked that we'd been f***ing for six or seven years, and never even shared a handshake or made a coffee-date... Haha... I've learned to welcome the "weird" conversations. It's okay if it gets a little difficult or uncomfortable. There are moments... You just do the job, and at the end of the day, someone's vision gets life breathed into it. Doesn't matter if it's "porn" or some "high concept" alternate reality and sci-fi or fantasy... It's a job. It's DEFINITELY nice to know that with the likes of "OnlyFans" and such, that the models and actors have their chance to step up the honor of the industry. I've never taken unfair advantage, and while I'm aware that some of that kind of thing happens (happened more in the past)... It's good to know we're evolving to the better. I hope the industry continues to move to more and more honor. Nobody should have to do something for their job when they're uncomfortable with it. Nobody should go to "work" with a sense of dread or invasion... I'm all about the "fun" aspects...
