My LNF blew up. Like coolant going straight to the oil so I replaced it with an LDK motor from you guys. Been daily driving it for over 50k miles now and no issues.
@@joew6277 Gen 3 LNF block is just an LDK/LHU block. There was never an engine which came sand casted with the drop-forged LNF connecting rods. You can either get the Gen2 LNF with good internals and shitty block, or Gen3 LDK/LHU with shitty internals and good block.
I had this at around 12k miles in my 2009 which i got mid 2009. so I got everything replaced under warranty. Still have the replacement engine which is still foam casted though. The guy didn’t seem sure of the cause, this was in 2011. I guessed it when I heard they expanded coolant passages for the LNF coupled with foam casting. Then the forums all talked about it.
If you're reading this and have this coolant mixing with oil issue, then takes my advice. Buy morosso ceramic seal. Blue and white bottle. Don't buy the red and white bottle. Blue and white block seal by morosso. Change the oil and filter. Remove thermostat. Put the interior heat on high and leave it there for this whole procedure. Flush out ALL the coolant from the system with hose water 3-4 times. Fill half the system with water. Mix the morosso with water in a clean jug. Start car. Pour in morroso/water mix through the coolant reservoir. Fill rest of system with hose water. Drive the car for 1.5-2 hours. Get it hot and then cold. Many heat cycles. Park car and leave over night or 8'ish hours. Drain system. Flush system 2-3 times. Replace thermostat. Fill with coolant. This worked on my LNF. 4000km later no coolant loss or oil mix. $45 bottle fixed my block.
I used a sealer and it worked as well. Until I did a pull on the highway and getting into boost for a good duration of time. Overheating and coolant loss came back after that. You still able to get into boost on this stuff and it hold up?
does this happen on the l61 blocks from 2002-2004? i just built one and installed it into my 1984 alfa romeo spider....( it was a lot of work ) i have heard about this.. on a empty block i poured hot water into the block water passages around the cly i blocked off the port on the rear of the block so the water would not come out,, water stayed for 24 hours..no leak that i could find
I need some help!!! Loosing coolant no leaks & no Milky oil! I have no idea where it’s going! No white smoke so smell. Please someone comment back!!!!!!
