How much of the Turbo S can you actually use? GTS has the same Turbo S wheels, brakes, springs and sounds better. The GTS 0-60 is 2.7 seconds. I can live without that .3 sec. extra the Turbo S delivers cuz there's nowhere I can use it.@@exoticwhipsbroadspipesandbags
I’ve been looking at Porsche 911 lately. Like a lot of guys growing up in the 90’s it was definitely one of my dream cars. Living in Canada we don’t have a significant amount of time to drive em but it’s definitely on my short list of summer cars that I am looking at purchasing for my driving enjoyment. It’s just tough to beat the iconic look and personality of a Porsche. That GTS is a beautiful beast
This is the perfect car for Canada. An awd sports car with performance winters at -20C is 25x the fun of the same car in the summer. Want to feel challenged in a 4s or GTS 4 on public streets (at 2 AM)? Do it on hard-packed snow/ice. Dual exhausts make a smoke screen of water Vapor in the rear view mirror. Shut off traction control and and you can imagine what the car would be like on dry pavement with another 250 HP. I enjoy my car more in the winter than in the summer! Especially walking away from everything from a stop-light when they don’t expect you to have awd…
Incredible cars, they absolutely live up to the hype. I'd always recommend starting with the 997 because it's such good value for such an authentic feeling 911. I have a feeling from the 991 onwards, the car began to get a bit too big. The 997 has everything you need and nothing you don't.
The 911 is one of my favorite car that I owned and happy to have driven it as a daily for many years. The flat six howl is intoxicating especially the 991.1 NA version. Great video btw

Iconic. I’ve had a number of 911’s BUT to me the 992 has become comically large, too powerful to fully exploit on B roads, turbo/artificial piped sound, not N/A unless it’s a track GT3 with absurd prices, 70% of its gimmick tech/screens is never used. It’s no longer a sports car…that crown moved to the 718 4.0 GTS when they put a 911 engine in it. Size of a 993, fully exploitable N/A power + sound, nimble, light, brilliant rotation, great interior with real buttons. If you need to scratch the 911 itch, need a fast grand tourer, a GTS is a great way to go. But if you want a daily to thread down UK B roads without constantly checking girth a N/A 4.0 718 is now Porsches best sports car for the road. Snap one up while you can, it’s going to be a classic.
Respectfully disagree. 718 is a 'starter 911', at best. If you want the real thing, spend the cash and move up the the 4 GTS 911. The 4 GTS is breathtaking, never bloated, bloke. lol
@@michaelwolpmann9453 I owned 5 911’s…a couple of 4S, a Turbo S etc. My Boxster 718 GTS 4.0 is a masterpiece. It looks better than a 911 cab, N/A, light, small and handles better. I have a Ferrari as well which I also prefer to a 911. Enjoy your 4GTS. If you have to scratch the 911 itch nothing else will do and I have scratched it. Enjoy your 911 journey.
Great video. I have the identical spec 4 GTS and it is an amazing car. It is a beast with manners. BTW 0-60mph is 2.8 seconds not 3.3. Did mine in the Aventurine Green Metallic. The absolute best color, IMO, sometimes looks sometimes silver, sometimes green depending on the ambient lighting. But always absolutely beautiful.
Dear Presenter- Goes Car Lounge: Thanks you as a Porsche owner since 1968 (owning 5-911's porsches) and a current owner of a 997.2 2012 4GTS (which is absolutely a perfect normally aspirated car) and a 2022 Macon S (daily driver) which has the twin turbo engine of the 2021 model. I enjoyed your video presentation, and your comments, you are right on. I have not driven the 992, which certainly has improvements over the 997.2 4GTS, but can say that porsche has continued incrementally to improve all models. I was looking at a 992 Turbo, yes it is better, but for the money, I am perfectly happy at this time with my 4GTS and it performs........smooth as silk, I am not an AutoCross driver but dive the car on back roads as it was designed to do. I fell in love with it! I really did and it broke my heart a little bit when I gave it back. Ridiculous I know!

My dream is to own a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S on Red with either black interior or cream with white. @@GoksCarLounge no worries. I love the opening comment about looking back at your car lol. I've pretty much always done that with the cars I love. Currently my F80 M3 Comp 😊. I was looking at the GTS a little while ago but can't really justify spending £1000+ on PCP etc.
@@GoksCarLounge My tuned C2 has roughly the same power as a stock GTS with maybe a slightly faster spool up due to the smaller turbos. The big power is pretty exciting in the Base car cause of the open diff

Great video mate really enjoyed it. I have a 992 GTS with aero kit so nothing stealthy about mine. Unless your doing lots of winter driving no need for the 4, even on the track with traction off its very planted and more agile with rear wheel drive. Also agree the lady shave gear selector isn't great. Subscribed.
Very nice video, love it. Driving a 2WD version for a year now, I can assure, it is fantastic. Serious corners if you like so, or playful (need at least PSM Sport then), however you choose. Most important: it makes you smile every day...
What a video! Love the comparison with the rest of the range of Porsches! Would love to hear some comparisons with competitors to the 911 and see where its better or worse!
Great video. No one should ever run a front plate on a Porsche. It just mucks up the visual. The only front plate that's kind of not offensive, is a UK plate. I know, it's "illegal" to not use it. I'd rather get stopped and I never have.
Problem with the GTS is that they insist on blacking everything on the car- trim and wheels and the options are less selectable than the S or base turbo,
