God...there is something about the 997s that's hard to explain. I've looooved the 997.1 GT3 since I first saw it (in white, on all magazines I used to buy), with its weirdly shaped, beautiful wing...and that started a love for the whole 997 gen I think, haha! This thing is AMAZING, the gearbox must be a delight to use! And it sounds pretty good too!

What I love about Porsches is that this has 10x the miles of a typical Ferrari. Built better, looks better, sounds better, drives better and doesn't break when you drive it.
brilliant car Porshe is the underdog of Super cars they dont go crazy with styling like the other exotics but the magic is in the engine the handling the gearbox......Max just to mention from your recent i20n review you found it weird when you shift gears the revs shoot forward have you noticed it does it in the porshe aswell lol
Guys. The 997 GT2 was the first production Car which had an Akrapovic Exhaust as standard. But the 996 GT2 is called the Widowmaker as well. It´s nearly the same Car, just a little bit bigger and comfy but the Turbos are known for the delicat Turbolag. And nobody knows why GT2? Maybe some of you know the Porsche 991 GT1. This was Car was just produced because Porsche was really interessted in winnig Le Mans agianst, Mercedes, BMW, McLaren and Ferrari. So the Rules said, you have to build 25 Cars for the GT1 class and streetlegal Cars for the GT2 and GT3 class. Because of that, the the GT2 is called GT2 and the GT3 is called GT3. GT2 is dead now only the GT3 class survived until now.
Man this video reminded me of my e36 m3. They are honestly the same vibe but on a lesser scale. Y’all should try to review one if you haven’t already. Specifically the 95 euro spec.
Matte is over done I agree. It accentuates the lines, most designs become way too visually imposing and cluttered. However in 2008 car design was a lot more modest and subdued than it is now and the rough industrial matte look combines perfectly with the 997's clean purposeful lines.
This car is a fckn beast! Also that khaki green... excellent choice. Never really liked Porsche.... But that GT2 has a spot in my heart. Hope it stays alive....
Superb car. I would take off the strange wrap from the "frunk" and replace it with the plain matte green. It would look ok on the roof though! I would also paint matte black all the silver bits in the cabin/doors/steering wheel/infotainment system
Key on the left on Porsche I heard that the true story is that wires were too short (on the track car) so they put it on the left then made up the le mans story 😅 I am the only one who heard this? 🤔😅
all porsches have to key at left side because at his competitions cars of le mans, they had running to go car and start engines. they had manual transmision, if you have key side on left you can start engine with left hand and put firts gear with right hand ;)
autotop you look like you always sit a little bit "ass forward" with the knees a bit up in the air. Is this just an illusion or do you normally sit a bit more forward in most car seats?
