Good job Todd. It doesn't matter if the job is big or small it just means it's a job tackled. Love the Porsche series and that Rolls video was truly superb. Keep up your fantastic work. Love and respect from Taiwan 🇹🇼 Stay safe.
I did consider rebuilding the loom, but it feels ok - just the casing is solid. Easy enough to remove if it causes problems (I wanna get her started :))
@@MrToddgibbs i agree, the belt alignment looks off far enough to be a problem, whether it’s stress on the alternator, and/or on the pulley or excess wear on the belt. The new pulley will be worth it. I just spent time fixing the same problem on an a/c belt on an old Benz. A little misalignment caused the ac compressor to make a lot of noise and vibrate and the belt to flap. I modified the a/c bracket to get the belt straight and it’s all good now.
Thanks Reginald. I did look at modifying the alternator bracket, but it’s not simple so left it. Shame a £12 pulley didn’t work… and crazy it’s £75’for OEM. There must be a cheaper one out there somewhere!! To be honest I quite enjoy searching for the alternatives.
