Damn!! The shift right at 0:15 sounds just like the Porsche 928 in the move Wierd Science! Beautiful car!!

Awesome. Always liked these. And good though a flat 6 is, you also can't go wrong with a bent 8 ;-)

The engine is a fully rebuilt GT unit with 928 International equal length headers going into a custom X-pipe, which is then mated to 2.5" pipes running the GT resonators, and finally a 928 International RMB. Lastly, the engine is dry-sumped, but I doubt that makes it sound any better... There are numerous other mods on the car such as cage, suspension, interior, brakes, wheels etc...

@Sodiumreactor Oh yes, there are a ton of 928's here in the states. It would take a mildly built 951 to smoke this 928 :)

@Piperporsche180944 lol that would never get old :) Yer i think the 944 series are just great, i think they have turned out to be a real classic. I always take alittle pleasure walking out into a multi level carpark and seeing my 944 S2 Cab finished off in titanium grey sitting there with such poise and beauty, to know it was designed by hand from someones skill with a pencil and from a bunch of german engineers lol who i suppect in my mind had long beards and drank beer makes me very happy

@subzerostorm I own a few. A 1988 951 modified pushing 355rwhp and also a 1986 951 pushing 380rwhp. These cars are easy to modify to make good hp.

@subzerostorm I have seen many 400+rwhp 951s, none of them had stock head gaskets. I have rode in a 429rwhp 951 and the thing was violent. :)

@Piperporsche180944 It would take a 951 which can keep up with an E60 M5. They are fast, but you will need a bit more than a mild built... Currently the car is running a GTS lump with a few mods ;) and yes, it beat a E39 M5 500 Nowack and kept up with an E60 M5...

An M5 is merely a low calorie breakfast for a 928!

@Cheburator13 My 951 is mild built and I'm sure it will do more than keep up. Lindsey 61-1 Turbo, 55# injectors, 3.0 BAR FPR, Lindsey MAF, Lindsey Full 3" Exhaust, Dual Port Wastegate, Manual Boost Control, Power Perfect Piggyback, Billet By-Pass Valve, SFR Hard Pipes, Etc. Nice kills by the way!!! I had a nice encounter in which I was unable to catch on film. I raced a 3.2L M3 swapped e36 328I with a custom T3/T4 Turbo set up. It was quick but not quick enough.

@dschmidtertv hmmm given that my mustang is pushing 500 rwhp not really sure who's gonna feed what ;) the porsche is getting some serious engine treatment at the moment and is being put on a heavy diet, shall be ready before christmas and I will be more than happy to make a head to head video and post it. Also will be interesting to see how the Porsche scores against my supercharged zm coupe and my viper :)

@Piperporsche180944 Dido! A 951 stock is a great car. Get a chip and the fun starts, but put a big turbo on it and now we're talking business that puts high dollar super cars to shame on a race track where all that talking and show gets put to the test.

@subzerostorm One Guards Red and the other Black. I like the 944 series a lot. 911s are great but I just like smoking V8s with a 4 cylinder turbo. :)

Things will get interesting again... 12:1 compression JE Pistons, High lift and duration cams as well as ITBs and Alfa-N on a 5.5ltrs block... 440rwhp here we come...

First corner is all it will take to decide the race! Hardly a fair fight. Maybe the Mustang against a Corvette would be a better head to head? (although both will probably spin off on the first corner - lol) Love the 928 mate! The GT turned out faster than the GTS for some reason so you have the greatest version of one of the greatest cars of all time!

@exBMRguy Haha, dude high-powered 951's keep up with GT2 and GT3 Cup cars. Were talking about on a real race track, not stop-light to stop-light or a drag strip. If that doesn't help you feel special than you might be better off with a Short Yellow Bus, if feeling special is your thing. No pun intended but you kinda threw yourself out there :p

In Salt Lake (Miller) the Porsche and Ferrari guys get unhappy and leave whenever the Mustang club shows up, mostly because their feelings are hurt when young guys with cheap cars come shooting by them.
