The design was just right with the 84 car then it got progressively wider with the GTS of 92 The original design is best . I had two of them over period of 10years and what great cars they were .
I dig the early cars as well, if I had the room I would have one of those as well. They got wider with S4 and went up from there. This car is almost 8 feet wide at the rear, lol.
This car is so lovely . I'd change the wheels to a slightly more F40 style as those Borbets are a little too think but I could live with them if they were painted silver . This is one of Koenigs best designs . It really is pretty from every angel . I'm so tempted to make my 928 manual into one of these
Thank you, I will be building a different set of wheels for this car later for fun, but the Borbet are the correct wheel for this build from the factory and they were originally all silver before the previous owner had them powder coated. After much research I found out that this car had nothing to do with Koenig when it was designed and built, in fact it was the other way around. The company is called Auto Exclusiv. And they were building these first, they also built all of the early 928 for Koenig at their shop. I will be making a video about it eventually explaining the history. These guys got it right and Koenig private labeled his kits from them. This is an original period correct car, Koenig labels were added before I bought it and they are coming off once I get to it.
@@2legit2quitatl fascinating . I reckon those Borbets are nice but if you could groove the spokes on a cnc machine so that they would have that F40 look and not be too smooth they'd be lovely . Silver is personally the way to go . Car is gorgeous . Pity it's auto
@@fritzmuller8246 Not touching the wheels they are original. 17x13 welded 1 piece from the 90s, I would just build a whole different set for it. I have put together many sets of wheels. Most of them were Automatic from the factory, I may convert it later down the road. I am a bit of a manual snob, but I honestly don’t mind it in this car, it’s a GT car and more of a cruiser than a track car.
@@2legit2quitatl so cool! I had a 1990 S4 Black on Black with sport seats and automatic about 7 years ago and bought it for like 6 grand Canadian with about 180kms on it. This was before prices shot up during covid! They are fun beasts and sound great! Enjoy
