That was an awesome looking car. I'm eyeballing a 944 now and wondering if I should buy and convert and after seeing this I'm thinking "Hell yea!".

What about the transaxle? ??? Is it possible to make a custom one for the 944???

I tuned it to see the car, not watch an interview . Camera man could have slowly went over all the features of the car while it was being talked about. I didn't get a full feel over the car, just watched 2 dudes chat....

Beautiful conversion...truly the best I've seen on a 944. It was my first porsche when I was young. I've had a Boxster S and a 911 S cabriolet since, and they were all amazing. I love them better than the Mercedes I've owned because they are far more reliable and don't have the computer issues that always come up withe Mercedes. I have a 600SL V12 Mercedes that is a bigger money pitt than my Sea Ray. It literally was in the shop from June 3rd this year when I dropped it off, until the end of September. Just when you wanna be driving your convertible, it's in the shop for the entire summer. I think it's time to ditch the Benz, even though my son wants it. I know I'll end up paying the upkeep, as he's a college student.

Since this only saves a couple of hundred pounds over a Corvette, where is the real advantage? Granted interior fit and finish is probably better.

Out of style. It's 944 scared, "i'm a Toyota now!". Wide body not about wider tires only, but also keep style and aerodynamics. Task failed. PS: Hint: 944 is a wide-body version of 924. Look. Compare. Think.

Honestly, coll build but as a German I can't help but feel visceral Cringe for that Name. Why choose this word. Can you guys at least consult with a german beforehand? It's like someone getting a Beef Stew Tat on his Arm in Arabic without knowing about it.
