Apparently Ilott was distracted by an on board alarm. Suspension mount pulled out of chassis so new tub required. Normally takes 3 weeks to build!

Amazingly, JOTA got the No.12 Porsche up and running for the race. They did an awesome job and both the No.38 and No.12 finished the race in a very respectable 8th and 9th place.

Time of impact 6:15…first medical personnel reach the car at 9:05!!! Absolutely unacceptable medical response for a ‘top level’ motor sport!

So, actually, the track is well lit. But why from official on board, it looks so dark? Exposure setting in camera maybe. Here , it does not looks dark at all.

By the way, we need more cars like Cadillac in racing. So much quiet. It's boring. Then you hear these beasts coming from a mile away, thundering through the night. It's the only reason i rooted for Cadillac.

Sad to hear about this accident. It looks to be a very fine, aerodynamic, modern race car. Must have been some mechanical issues. Driver looks to be safe, that's all that matters.

Was getting the racers coming down the straight and into the turn, EXCEPT FOR THIS ONE! Only caught the final skid and the impact on the fence. What happened before that?

First thing i noticed i the extremely delayed reaction of the marshals and race control. Didn't even wave the yellow. Cars were still going by and even the "digital" flag was green. It was by pure luck that this didn't end evolve into something worse.

After a crash, the driver is trapped in the driver's seat for quite some time. Was the driver left alone because he was still alive?

It was a minor damage only? It looked really bad on TV.

Its been a decade since ive been interested. Is it hyper cars only now. And is it just me, but these cars look locked down and way faster than i remember.

What is it with modern race cars destroying guardrail barriers every single time they crash? Even as recent as 2014, when Kimi crashed into the barrier at Silverstone almost head-on at around 200 kph, his car only made a dent in it, not even a hole. They still had to replace it, but I remember it was considered such a rare occasion. This crash was nowhere near as nasty as that one, yet the damage done to the barrier is MUCH worse, clearly not just a dent, but quite a large hole. And it's not just this one crash, it happens all around the world of motorsport. Are guardrails becoming weaker or what?

Seems like Every Year there’s a Sacrifice Porsche what year was it a Warm / Site up Lap , just before the Start a 911 warming its tires Crash into the wall Didn’t Even Make a turn Totaled I don’t know my Porsche’s Well I remember it was White and they most all look the same like a turtle 😂

After all of the safety advances over the years I find it hard to believe a track like LeMans can still have an area of unprotected ARMCO barrier on the outside of a fairly high speed left hand corner. WHY ? ? . . . . Have they not learned anything ? ?
