The 331km/h is the limit of the 6th gear, but if you go up to 7th, it goes all the way to 370km/h that is the limit of the geaebox. In sport plus the car doesn't allow you to go up to 7th gear because it's meant to be a overdrive, but a friend of mine has an ES850 kit, measured 840awhp and has already gone all the way to 355km/h in 7th gear. With 620hp I believe it can go at least at 340 in 7th, but it needs to be done in sport mode
why would 331 km/h be the limit of the 6th gear? it was reving higher up in the previous gears, so why would it be different in the 6th? for me it seems like its hitting some sort of speed limit to prevent too much load on the tires or any other stuff.
I never was a big Porsche fan, purely for aesthetic reasons. However I got the chance to drive a Cayman S recently and my lord they are a dream to drive. My expectations were already high but that car just doubled them. I've driven more than a few (mid-tier) performance cars but so far there is almost nothing that tops the road feel and precision of a Porsche apparently, with (maybe) the exception of the BMW M2 competition. Pure joy to drive, I was grinning ear to ear constantly, didn't matter whether I was driving fast or slow, on a straight or in a corner, it was a dream in every situation. Beautiful engineering
@@DaGr8Depression Well as mentioned before, for me it was the road feel and the precision. Every little steering input I made translated to exactly what I wanted the car to do, nothing more and nothing less. I could also feel everything going on under the car, which surprised me since I'd heard the newest generation Porsches have too light steering and feedback. Though the design doesn't really jive with me, as with all Porsches, the driving experience was otherworldly. I think I did like the M2 comp a bit more but it's close
What do you need to be able to work in a performance car tuning shop? Im currently doing a bachelors in marine engineering so ill have some knowledge on ICE engines by the end ,but was wondering what extra's are needed? Is it mechanic experience wrenching? engineering background? courses? all of that?
Is it too much power? Had 2 friends sell theirs after owning it for only 2 years. They said it was too much car where they couldn’t enjoy it except at illegal speeds.
Hi. At 331 km/h, you talk about topspeed and limit, but you forgot this has 7 gears, you were in 6'th gear at 331 km/h. At the end, before returning the car, you are driving in speed 200 km/h in 7'th, so it might be you that was the limit ;-)
@@igorkarcz2174 In Turbo S yes, in GT2RS not, 7th speed there is used to achieve 350+ km/h, and gear ratios are different. Turbo S could use 7th speed but it needs stage 1 or stage 2 tuning to do anything there.
HI MAX 🙂 GREAT REVIEW MA MAN. YOU KNOW.....PORCHE NEVER DESAPPOINTS . WE FIND IT S DNA IN EVERY NEW MODEL. TIMELESS CAR......THE BEST SO FAR IN MY OPINION.......IF I COULD I WILL BAY THE NEW CARRERA............BUT 😔/////// IT S ALWAYS A PLEASURE TO SEE YOU DRIVING THIS GERMAN ICON 😉
At 331 KM/H there is a limiter ... uuuhmm ... there is still a 7th gear ?!?!?!? o.O xD Why didnt he shift up ? xD Man ... please , nobody noticed that ^^
