A lot of great memories of these turbo beasts. Le Mans, Ferrari-Porsche Challenge, Belcar, etc. From the days 911's still were quite small sportscars. In Le Mans in the dark you could see the the turbos glowing below the rear bumper. Seeing that made me realise how much strain is put on these cars in 24 hours. Their low, sonore sound so distinctive. The Evo belongs in my list of best looking and most impressive 911's ever made.
It's pretty sad that people glorify the RWB so much as "design gods" (especially certain writers on Speedhunters), not knowing/ignoring that they are just copying this Porsche works style.
@@AccAkut1987 I'd say it's a wash lol. Some ignorant people worship Akira Nakai as if he created this style out of thin air, but there's an equal amount of Porsche "purists" who complain until they're blue in the face about RWB's "ugly bolt on flares" and "ridiculous double-decker wing" etc. without realizing that 95% of a typical RWB kit is pure Porsche!! Or they say "it's all show, no go," etc. Well... Nakai makes body parts lol. That's it. What you do with the rest of the car is up to you. Nakai himself never even set out to do anything other than make GT2-style parts for his own 930 race car. A majority of the Japanese RWB 911s do actually race, in fact. Meanwhile, it's the American RWBs, in general, that are trailered to and from shows, then parked somewhere for instagram likes. The internet ruins everything lol.
"Your" Porsches in Spa-Francorchamps also look good in your channel too.Really Porsche knows how make pressence in worldwide circuit Step 1:Put a 911 Step 2:Ready
Another literal "Win on Sunday, Sell on Monday" type of Race cars that's off the general production models. This need to be at the future Goodwood racing
Its my all time favourite car (bar a 306 GTI Phase1 / Renault 19 16V Phase 1/ Merc 190e Evo 2/ 309 Thundersaloon) 12:35 - 13:00 in this white and torquiose green livery specially... PS2/Dreamcast Le Mans 24 childhood memories. I'd pick this car no matter what I was racing against🏆
Can you please tell me who owns and who was driving the Konrad Porsche GT2 in this video. I drove that car at LeMans in 1998 and 1999 and would like to contact the owner. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
