Here's an overview of the suspension refresh I had carried out on my 997.1 C4S with PASM.
My aim was to bring the suspension back to "as new" condition but also keep the car standard, i.e. no lowering or stiffening.
The work was expertly carried out by Unique Porsche of Westhoughton.

Well done. Refreshing to see someone concerned to get their suspension back to new, rather than lowered for looks. That's an amazing car. They don't make them like they used to. Perhaps you'll drive it forever. If so, may you live long and enjoy numerous suspension refreshes.

Loving the interior! Is it a stock interior colour? The conditon seems almost brand new. Great video... Ive got quite heavy play in my left dront shock absorber 😮‍💨 but bilstein or any other like for like OEM shock absorber is on back order! Some places till April 2024!

Hi - thanks for your comments. Yes, the interior is from the factory but the original owner specified it under the Porsche Exclusive Programme so it’s not from the standard catalogue.

Hello, quick question about your steering wheel: it does not look like a 997.1 one and also it seems quite far from the console which I thought was not something that can be adjusted in a 997.1 (only up and down). Thanks for your help.

Hello and thanks for your interest. The steering wheel is as fitted from the factory but is the Sports Steering Wheel option. The steering column also adjusts in and out as well as up and down. Admittedly I’ve not adjusted it for a while but I’m pretty sure that’s the case!

Are they switchable shocks? I have a C2S 997.1 same colour. My favourite colour.

Hi Andrew - thanks for your interest. Yes, they are PASM compatible shocks. The Bilstein B4 range for the 997.1 are available in PASM and non-PASM versions but are essentially the same spec. (but probably slightly better in reality) than original fitment. Hope that helps!

@@mrgibbs68 OK that makes sense. My car (2wd) has the LSD option that deletes PASM and is slightly lowered. So I guess the Bilstien non PASM would be the ones for me.. one day. However so far the suspension is perfect as far as anyone who has looked at it can tell..

Hi - thanks for watching. Cost wise you’d need to budget for around £4k for parts and labour. And there are no rear top mounts - they’re only at the front to accommodate the rotation of the struts when steering.

I’ve been pricing-up the same job for my 997.1, and I can’t even get all the parts for the equivalent of £4K (in the US), let alone pay for the labour in the same amount.

You can see the disappointment on his face the ride the same it’s not night n day hahahahahahahahahaha ,, or he always looks that way hahaha ,,,, maybe he should of upgraded the suspension to B16’s damptronic instead of the basic B4’s, or even OHLINS road & track if he didn’t have PASM ,, , well that was an opportunity wasted to make the car feel and drive better and more comfortable, you missed the opportunity to fall in love all over again as the car would of felt special n new ,,,, you know why Cayman owners think their car drives better that a 911 ,, it only because their suspension is newer and stiffer that the basic Carreras, they have the Equivalent suspension of a B16 in a cayman and it goes to their heads, that why they can take on and beat a GT3 HAhahaha silly rabbits 🐰 🐇
