Cool project...Like the door lettering but maybe try matching the calipers, door lettering, seat belts, emblems. All of those details in orange or even in silver/gray to match the wheels would be very tasteful.

Definite thumbs up on the headlights and wheels. Not so sure about the rear lights. Its weird because they look great when they are NOT lit up. But lit up they look like cheap eBay lights.

Looking rally good, I especially like the silver/black alloys. Only problem now is where are you going to place the white CTR stickers? Can't wait to see it finished.

Those wheels look awesome! I'm in the process of upgrading he lights on my silver 997.1 and still undecided between the ones you have or the 992 style. Did you consider the Morimoto XB tail lights?

At 5.48, is that wheel signed, at about six o’clock? Love the car. I’m a fan of 996/997 platform cars. Is the 997 prettier? I have to admit it is. But is the 996 as good looking, in a different way? I think it is. It’s got bags of character. The 996.2 tweaked a number of small styling elements that, to many people, make it an improved & more integrated appearance. I’m new to 911 ownership (996 40th anniversary edition) so I’m not sure how much changed 996.2 to 997.1. Front and rear bumpers, front of wings for major revisions to headlights, bonnet shape change. But the majority of the tinware is very similar, no? And internally, also similar? Slightly increased bhp at each level, as pretty much all manufacturers do when they bring out a “new & improved” version.

Looks like a fun project. @challengetheroad, where did you source the new headlights?

Not a fan of "PORCHE" on the doors either or any make of car for that matter; cheapens the look? Alloys look great. 👌👍

Lovely 997 S, but I really don’t understand putting a Turbo front bumper on this car. First of all it’s bespoke to the Turbo,so it just makes this a bit of a Frankenstein car. Secondly the Turbo bumper is just ugly IMO. If you’re going to change the stock bumper the aero kit bumper would be the obvious choice to me.

I am sure those front and rear lights weren’t cheap, but wow they sure look cheap.

I really don’t like those led rear lights on 997/996, look naff imo
