You gave great instructions on doing this. I replaced one of these and It’s a pain. Most purge valves are more accessible. Great how you explained removing the electrical connector. Why do they over engineer connectors and clips!! Great idea to use a piece of regular hose instead of spending $100+ on dealer molded one. Another great video.

Hey fupabox first off I'd like to say I've been watch your videos for as long as I've owned my 1999 mercedes c230 kompressor probably more then 13 years now so I see your still at it and im glad! I dont ever think I've messaged you before ever , because I've only learned about this comment section a little over 2 years now I believe and I try it with this other channel fir my 2008 honda odyssey. So here's whats going on I've been have the benz sit for over 3 to 4rs now due to life and what not and I've haven't had it in me to let go of this car because Its my very first benz and my very first close enough to a sports car / supercharger fast and the furious car i ever purchase so its my 4 banger premium I call it. So im so glad ya here still I have much to share with u and a whole book that I got this vehicle with..but I wanted to tell u because of ya channel I have had my beginning ls with my first born son to work on cars I did my first coil springs and bilstein..struts with my kid 10 years ago and went to my first junkyard myself with my kid when we went and found stuff to change out all from your older videos..so want to say thank you cuz today I've done much more over the years and ill share later with u all that..but here's what going on with the w202 is I've let it sit without filling the gas all the way up which I know now was bad and its been idling and running rough and I want to try and fix this with ya help and support b4 I get it towed to a tech I! Wana get it going also I probably should have done an oil change i know 2 for years of storage I've aced storing the battery ok over the past 3years and haven't had to get a new battery moving it from. i would think your issue is just bad gas , Any ethanol in fuel will turn to a thick syrup after a year ...sometimes less than a year. I would drain or siphon as much of the old fuel out as possible and put some good new fuel in with 1/2 casn of sesfoam fuel system cleaner. As long as the oil level is good I wouldn't worry about changing it yet unless there is moisture in it . As you said .just start it and let it idle and suck in the clean fuel ..raise rpm to 2500 for 20 seconds every 10 minutes or so . It should come back to running fine . Just keep an eye on engine temp just to be safe . I wouldn't be concerned about the check engine light unless it starts flashing. let me know how it works.
