The colour is great; I ordered one - and so nearly went for green. I really wanted it. But in the final analysis I played safe. Metallic Carrara White and silver wheels. Thank you for the great review, and your enthusiasm. Stunning location.
Cheers RB.... Its a great car.....and for the money its a bargain... lacks the rawness of a GT3 but you are saving so much money... loved every mile I did in it...👍
Enjoyed the review - thanks! Personally, I prefer the GT4 in the bolder colours. The GTS 4.0 is deliberately subtle and understated on the outside but anything from on the inside. Unlikely to track my car so even though I had a GT4 slot offered to me I went for the manual GTS 4.0, in Gentian Blue with Carrera Sport wheel option - just a personal preference from the standard black wheels. It is expensive to option up for stuff like park assist and cruise control. However, love the car. Soundtrack is fantastic which is always so difficult to capture from any of the reviews out there. Nice work!
I looked at and liked the Gentian blue but went for the Aventurine green which was also subtle, for me changing the wheels was an expense I didn’t want and am happy with the standard. As you say the other bits that should be standard are expensive but rear sensors and cruise isn’t too bad. Only thing I went for that I didn’t really want was the Bose, everyone said it was essential for resale, it’s OK but not exceptional. I got climate as well which really should be standard on a £65k car.
Lacks the acoustics of the older stuff I would invest in an exhaust solution... has plenty of power and is a fabulous drive.... the 4.0 engine is a peach.... thanks for your comments....🙏🏻
I disagree, I think I'd pay the extra for the spyder. Admittedly I like ticking the spec boxes, so they're both expensive AF but I think you'll loose less on the Spyder / GT4 long term. The 2nd place "sorry you cant get a GT" cars do alright but never hold value like a GT product.
I would always go for ceramic brakes on the basis that it keeps the wheels clean and prevents damage from the corrosive brake dust of metallic discs and pads.
the base spec is £10K less the GTS and has little extra other that the chassis for the money.... I agree the GT4 is more my cup of tea but the value for money factor makes the the 718 GTS 4.0 a fab car...
I enjoyed the video- well done! my 2021 GTS 4.0 just completed emmisions testing in port. My dealer should have prep completed before the weeks out. Quite excited! Q: Are you running all season or winter performance tires in your video?
At 10+ grand im having BC Fabrications whip up a full steel system for mine with inconel tips. Im in the US but they seem to also have cracked the opf delete issue for your market as well
Nice review and visuals thanks enjoyed that. The £10k exhaust system sounds a bit steep. I think the JCR Ti muffler swap out is £5k and to me (YT audio considered) sounded fantastic. 👍🏻 Thumbs Up for not showing the front and rear boots too like every ‘review’. Driving only 👍🏻
really thinking of the new gts 4.0 with pdk and shopping my new plate mercedes a45s amg in! Dont know if the NA engine will feel slow against the turbo a45s iv got!
The Porsche handling is on another level.... you can’t compare an A45 with a Porsche..... although my E63S is mega.... the PDK will make it even quicker too... 👍
@@cayman9815 you get a 'nice car tax' in the UK, commonly known as the luxury car tax. So there is a first registration tax and if you have a list price of over £40,000 you have £325 to pay per year on top of your tax based on emissions. The worst band puts you at £2,600 a year, slowly killing off all big output engines.
This car feels like perfection .....until you actually drive the 718 GT4 and realize that is really is a lot more dialed in without much ride penalty or decrease in every day abilities
