For this video we treated this stunning PTS Porsche 991 GT3RS to our most advanced treatment, the Level 5 Signature Detail. This is a lengthy process to remove distortions in the clear coat known as 'orange peel', resulting in glass-like reflections.
After the detail, we protected the whole car with our bespoke PPF (paint protection film), preventing stone chips, scratches & swirl marks for years to come.
However, we did not stop there. This car had a very special treatment - Topaz Carbon. Watch the video to find out more...

@@ImDembe The ppf protects the paint from stone chips and other potential damage, I'd think that was obvious? They also didn't remove all of the clear coat, they sanded it down a bit, and this is done on millions of cars (at all sorts of price points) every year to achieve a better finish. What's enough or over the top is for the owner to decide, but I don't get why a $250k car wouldn't be "worthy" of having a paint correction and ppf.

Scabootie we do this all the time and sanding hardly takes off any more clear than a paint correction.

Exactly, and paint film thickness measurement will only give you total thickness, so you have no idea of the clearcoat thickness. Only time will tell if they have broken through the clear coat.

They didn't. They only used the plastic pieces as a mold to make new parts out of carbon fiber. It's not that hard to do.

jousey junior if you think about it they’re putting carbon on top of the actual plastic pieces. So if you weight it next an actual carbon pieces it’ll weight more. Do you what I mean?

You did not "make the plastic pieces into real carbon fiber." You put carbon fiber on top of the plastic. In other words, you ADDED weight to a car that was designed to be a lightweight variant of a 911 turbo.

Car looks beautiful, but I cannot imagine driving a car detailed to that level. First and foremost, cars are meant to be driven, and driving a car involves inevitable damage. I'm not saying cars should not look nice or be detailed, I'm just saying there has to be a middle ground unless the intent is just to park the car in a climate controlled garage and look at it.
