it actually doesn't... they're $15,000 for a reason. magnesium is incredibly expensive and reducing unsprung weight significantly improves acceleration/handling

It depends how you define "generation". There was the 987.1, then the 987.2, then the 981 (only one gen), and then the 982 - named 718 (718 is not the gen number, but the model number like 911).

@@knn3th Agree. I think the 718 cars should be called the 981.2 generation given that their changes were similar to the 991.1 vs. 991.2 changes for the 911. But whatever, something for people who know too much about Porsche to argue about :)

I had a 981 GT4 I bought new that I sold recently, and originally had a deposit from 3 years ago for the GT4RS, but the ridiculous dealer markup made me walk away. Instead I bought a 2K mile one owner CPO mint 991.2 GT3 with buckets & PCCB’s for $185K, and I love it! At 6’2” I fit so much better in it. If you get one you will not be disappointed

Maybe the hardest one to get: I do live in a major european city, speaking of Porsche sales, one dealership for the whole city and they had only 2 allocations that's it, easier to get a GT3 RS...

You won’t be disappointed with your 4L GTS. I tried and tried to get a Spyder allocation but had to settle for a Boxster GTS in the end. Looking back, I actually made the right “choice” as the slightly softer GTS makes for a much better road car and in terms of rarity I understand the numbers built will not be dissimilar (GT4s and Spyders had priority-build over GTS whilst Porsche was struggling to actually deliver anything in 2021/22).

@@NickMurray maybe switch the steering system with lotus hydrallic or manual from lotus elise? savagese and kirk kierfield and others say new honda type r seats are better than porsche. after switching those 2.... its pretty much timeless then . there is gmat43, where i guess they will have shorter lighter higher revving electric turbo inline 3 because it doesnt have to deal with sudden power downshifts because it drive electric motors. in non manual clutch simulation mode, itsll be smoothest most direct correlation between imedeate torque vectoring, sound, and driver input ever seen, due to lack of torque of inline 3 in its every rotation being filled with power by engine reving a little to charge bettery to release energy to fill the gap between engine rotations, then rotations will constantly be preceded with that energy ready to fill the gap. regenrative braking also helps prevent the need for pre charge revving, so itll feel like any other car despite the weirdness. inline 3 is great power to weight ration, better sound than inline4, maybe echo sound delaying wiht echo chamber exhuast can mimick inline 6 (there is a similar such system i forgot what its called), turbi exhuast scavenging friendlines. much of the parts maybe also used in normal car, just as istream design platform t43 will be made of is already a platform for normal cars too unlike t50. scuderia glickenhaus scg008 is a offroad version of gma t50 kit car (drivetrain not included)

I do not believe that it is possible. Paint to sample cars have to have the Weissach package, that includes the exposed carbon bonnet.
