This is by far the best looking Porsche I have ever seen the way a cars lines should have been from the first. Perfect design shape etc I never liked the look of Porsche until I saw this one. And now I can say Porsche made the perfect body shape lines I would use this design in future builds. I would love to own this mission e Porsche hands down.

I am proud on our countryman N.Tesla and other significant inventors, but from the cars of today Rimac (Concept one) as well. Always loved Porsche above any other car... But my God! This thing is pure art and beauty...

They have to go electric. It has to be embarrassing for any sports car maker to get their flagship hot rod model smoked by a 5 passenger family sedan or SUV.

In the future, for a car to be called a sports car is make it essentially drive like a automatic viper..

For some people who don't know Aerodynamics: Porsche's shape is like a perfect airfoil for maximum lift(speed), minimum drag. That's why 918 Spyder beat the McLaren P1 in Nurburing. Porsche, McLaren always display sportsmanship and participate in competitions unlike Ferrari which always chickens out. All dynamical specifications(Thrust,Lift,Drag,Weight) come first followed by structural specifications(shape). It was Germany that taught the rest of the world about Math/Physics/Aerodynamics/Fluid Dynamics and what research is. Britain has Newton, Maxwell/Faraday to boast but majority of top Mathematicians/Physicists were from Germany. When you do Master's or PhD's in Math/Physics, every goddamn name will be a german name. US became a superpower due to brain drain in Germany/Austria during Hitler's time. Otherwise Germany would have been the super power. Even now, its right behind US-Japan in economy even though it started from 0 after WWII.

I am missing something here. Because the car is electric , they do not need a front grill ? So you block the air that could flow under and over the batteries keeping them and all the wizbang electronics a few degrees cooler , and put a straight on barrier to aerodynamics ? FUCKING BRILLIANT!

It's going to be interesting to see how the battery will take being charged to 80% in 15 minutes. Not very well with current chemistry, I imagine. But it is a premium sports product, so additional cost of changing out batteries is probably not a bad compromise. It'll be interesting to see when/if it gets released. Good luck!

Holy moly ! The low center of gravity was used on Tesla Roadster and is a mantra that any company which builds cars for a living incorporated in their own philosophy. And then you took a lot from the Porsche boxster and some more from the old Porsche from the '50s and '60s. Except for Porsche 918 Spyder , which is a hybrid does Porsche have any "tradition" in designing and building electric cars? Tradition involves generally time (tradition= the transmission of customs or beliefs from generation to generation, or the fact of being passed on in this way) Does Porsche have such a tradition in electric cars?

I'm going to take a guess and say the starting price will be about 80k.

I own a Model S and will only buy Tesla from here on out. (Because they had the ballz to do it.). But kudos to Porsche for this car. Looks nice! Not sold on the interior though. It looks too over the top. Tesla's interior works and works well.

This looks great there is plenty of room for competition without antone going out of business a higher percentage of sold cars will be electric. Check out lucid air they have a great working prototype

Design wise, to me, it leaves something to be desired, but damn - this will be a brilliant car! Now that the germans are in the game, Tesla needs a radical step up as far as quality is concerned. Exiting times...

Don't forget to fit some tires. Driving with nearly no tires does not feel good and does not drive well. Unfortunately this mistake is made by most car manufacturers today. >.

I still remembering engineering the Porsche Mission E, knowing that there is only 80 - 90 year more left of gas/oil when given willed patent rights from Nikola Tesla from him bouncing a signal to a star and bouncing the signal unto me to answer passwords to a lot of men with a lot of large suitcases, carrying my past-lives works including Nikola Tesla. I had patent rights to induction motor and engineered all electric cars, and looked into Porsche best models to preserve into electric.

Interesting that there isn't anyone commenting and pulling their hair on the range for 1 full charge. Yet, like the old saying,"if you care what the fuel mileage on that Ferrari is, you probably can't afford it", since its about the name, not being somewhat practical/economical.

Sure wish both passenger doors were able to be opened independently without the need of opening the front driver and passenger doors.

I hope they have it ready on the market by 2020 in large volume - any later and they will be too late.

The term "sports limousine" is pretty hilarious and must be the result of some German translation gone wrong, or is it an excuse for putting 4 doors (that look surprisingly similar to those on an RX-8) on it just to say they are competing with Tesla while still putting a Porsche badge on it. It says they are reusing Porsche hybrid parts, is it likely they will compete with Tesla reusing parts? Anything to forget about the diesel fiasco I guess.

Another beautiful CONCEPT car. I'm contrast, the Tesla has been a lovely FACTUAL car for a few years now. Imagine Tesla come up with a concept super sport rig... It surely would be even more impressive.
