ON THIS EPISODE OF OPP I DRIVE THE VERY FIRST 1972 PORSCHE RSR THE LEGENDARY RACE CAR NAMED R1, AROUND PARIS ON A DAMP DRIZZY DAY , #PORSCHE #RSR #RARECAR #paris #OPP
I thought we had the worst roads, after this video maybe we are second worst!!!! other than the distraction of all the unpleasant navigation of this incredible machine being punished by Mr. "El Caminante Grande", as he fights the traffic and road imperfections, "la Maquina RSR is a dream!!!! Thank you for the video.
You guys really showcased the city really nice. That car looks amazing with Paris as a backdrop. I've never been but would love Togo someday and if I had the money I'd ship my 1972 Beetle there to drive around with. BTW I think the actor in the movie Rendezvous can possibly be The Stig.
What gets me about this car is that it's a high strung short stroke race car that wants to be flogged but it's still semi-driveable on cobble stones and under 3k rpm. I mean, it sounds like a coffee can full of bolts but it's still doable. Think Porsche's MFI plays a huge part even with the high butterfly version. That Euro MFI era is still one of my favorites (Alfa, BMW, etc...)
Ha I thought you where going to drive away with that Engine lid open 😂 Look at the lightweight parts on that car omg the hood flops in wind. Wicked car priceless brave to drive that around in busy city traffic. Thanks for bringing it.
Thrilled that the rattles came through so well in the video! That's an insane car. Wild that you got to drive it around Paris. You've got balls! 🤓 Fantastic music soundtrack too!
😂😢😮😅😊 and that Porsche won the rally race in 72 because I have a picture of it. That was one mean Porsche. Keep up the good work bro I like what you do.
L'étoile en 2.8L RSR même pas peur! 😄Claude Lelouch was driving is own Mercedes 450 SEL 6.9L early in the morning in Paris at 5:30 am in the short movie "C'était un rendez-vous"...
iconic car...legendary.......cool to see it kinda piggle around ....but a nice 2 3 and 4 th gear ride would a been better...to hear that 2.8....still cool......
Hey Magnus couldn't have picked the worse area to roadtest the car it needs open road to stretch it's legs I bet your backside was twitching in the Parisian traffic 😮😮
Totally agree. The real charm of Europe lays in its small towns and villages and cars like this are the ideal way to get to them. Want to meet lots of car-hating Europeans? Drive your Porsche around places like Paris.
@@creamwobbly I have a 2000 968 S as I did not work hard in my twenties. I would love to paint the 986 in the 917K - 1970 LE MANS WINNER - SALZBURG LIVERY!
You have no clue. Take a look at the 1st 917 to win LeMans overall. How does that look. commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Porsche_917_K_n%C2%B023_(winner_of_the_1970_24h_of_Le_Mans_race)_-_Front.jpg
