I should also mention that if you have a B58TU, i.e. M340, Supra, etc, there are no HPFP upgrades available. Those cars come with the TU pump, so your only option is port injection.
@@Dutch79 It's not about fitment. It's about programming. The TU engine runs at a higher pressure so the aftermarket pumps for non-TU engines don't support the fuel pressures that the TU engine needs. I'm not sure that they plan on making upgraded pumps for TU engines but it's possible.
Great video, very informative, thank you! (One thing I would request is a bit more inflection, or a touch more energy while you speak. I was really trying hard to listen, but the sound of your voice is just very relaxed/relaxing and putting me to sleep, so just a bit more energy would really help with that. Keep them coming though, because again, very informative!)
Hi Kern! In the comments of Remnant Performance i read the fuel system is already maxed out (supra), not the octane. With big turbos and 93 fuel, bigger hpfp (not on the market yet) can be usefully? What are your thoughts? thanks! Remnant Performance wrote: "Well in preliminary testing we were able to confirm the the 65 OMEGA spools faster than a Pure800 and it produced so much power that we maxed out the factory fuel system on just 18psi on 93 octane haha. We have to add our Gamma Intake Manifold & Port Injection system to find the limits of the 65 OMEGA on 93 octane. The 65 OMEGA should be capable of producing closer to 200whp more than a Pure800/850"
Dont know whether you can get it in the US but I've got one called "the executioner pro" its like the port injected big turbo b58 pf the big zapper world but without any safety meshes and super powerful so keep it away from kids lol
Hi Kern, Congrats on your 5k subs! Question : Running a bigger turbo and acces to 102 RON. Making 612hp on just the TU pump. Wanting more in the future. What do you recommend? Dorch stage 2 / WMI or Port meth injection? Looking for 650+
Great content, thanks a lot! How about the "improved cleanliness" some manufacturers of WMI are claiming? Do you see this additional advantage compared to a HPFP upgrade? For my understanding, a WMI kit seems to be more value for the money… you keep IATs low, have enough additional fuel for up 600+ hp with upgrade turbo and cleaner manifolds/valves…one the other hand, it is not that easy to install, you gotta keep the tank full, doesn’t look stock, etc… what do you think? I’m not for one or the other thing, just asking/discussing with someone who’s dealt a lot with these topics obviously. Thanks!
Keeping the system simple with an HPFP upgrade is the best solution until you absolutely need auxiliary fuel injection. I'll be posting a video about WMI this Friday.
Hello brother it’s great information I have a question what is Sequential Port Injector unit work well with bootmo3 You recommended my set up is A90 supra 2020 2 port with vargas Gc+ turbo kit upgrade full AWE exhaust system injen intake system cts 4.5 down pipe Bootmod3 ots Stage 2 93 octane map any idea
What’s up kern, Hope you have been doing well. I have a 2020 m340i and I plan on getting customed tuned by pq performance with an intake, charge pipe, Ngk spark plugs, and a transmission tune. Would I be able to run the port injection comfortably or will I need to upgrade my turbo/transmission?
I know mentioned you recommend running stage 1 or 2 hpfp for 600-650hp goals, but is it safe to run tu hpfp on b58 with catless downpipe, intake, and Bm3 e30 tune? Wondering if there will be any head space at all or if I’ll be maxing out at that point. I also noticed for e50 tune in Bm3 app, there is a tu hpfp configuration. After watching this video I’m wondering if that is safe or recommended to do.
love your videos, very knowledgeable about the platform...How do you feel about the DAW Flowmax + ? I'm in-between This Or the Pure800 looking for 550-600 WHP
I am targeting 700hp+, I ordered a pure800 stage 2, I already have a dorch stage 2 HPFP on the car and also ordered a port injection kit, I know u mentioned u don’t really need both, but I should easily reach my goal with that set up? With E85 ?
I am trying to better understand which route should I go.. Port injection or direct injection. I am using my car for daily and spirited driving in the south and plan on upgrading turbo soon
So i have a 17 540i & im stage 2+ right now with tu pump on bm3 running e50. I plan on upgrading to pure 800 . Do i have to get a new hpfp or will i be good enough with port injection? Im trying to make about 600-650whp
Hey Kern, thanks for the helpful videos, as always! I have a DAW turbo but haven't gotten a hpfp, yet. Would a TU pump be enough to hit 500-550 HP on 91?
What up kern currently sitting at custom trans tune, tu pump custom e40 tune stock turbo, I’m looking forward to purchasing a ultra flow r with a dorch stage 2.5 will that be enough to get 700whp on e with this setup? And obv upgrading lpfp
you can probably get there on an ethanol mix (e40-50ish) and a perfectly dialed in tune. you will either need port injection or upgraded injectors + exhaust cam to reach 700whp on full e85.
I have a 1st gen b58 and I only have 93 available in my area, would u recommend getting port meth injection only or port meth+ hpfp pump and planning on a pure800 or vargas gc+
Is there any point me upgrading the hpfp to the tu version on an m240i on MHD stage 2 if I only have access to 99ron? As MHD don’t offer a stage 2 (+) for 99 and only 102 Ron or e40?
@@kern417 is it possible or worth it to buy bio ethanol off eBay and add to a full tank of 99 Ron and then run an e40 map? Or does it have to be injected with a kit in the boot?
Question here, with an upgraded HPFP or a PI is there any noticeable increase in fuel consumption. It would be kind of logic but who knows. You😜 cause for a Dayly it would be a downside of a mod like that. Better fueling Worse consumption🤔
