Saturday November 29th 2008 Sorry that i had to put music to this but i needed to cover up my disgusting breathing noises. It's not that i don't like the music, it's just that i wouldn't normally put it in.
Very Nice video. I saw a picture of Port Jervis back in the 1950's it was a hoping Railroad town. Imagine Seeing the Big Erie E-8's and Alco PA's and FA's Passing by with trains all day long!!! That would have been awsome to have seen.
Great video, Port Jervis is such an isolated but once thriving place of civilization if it wasn't for the Erie Railroad. It still is a thriving town as it was in it's heyday. Like the song you put.
Norfolk Southern needs to start running long-distance freight trains over the entire ex Erie mainline/Southern Tier route from Croxton, NJ to Buffalo, NY. This line has so much potential, and their are plenty of industries along the line between both those points to justify running some dedicated freight trains. When Conrail owned it, they did exactly that running the old OIBU/BUOI, OIEL/ELOI mixed freights, and the DABU autorack train.
