Well, you’ve given me the genius idea of how to reach Madeira without the thrill-a-minute landing into Funchal airport that I dread the thought of… a cruise! I do hope it’s as CR7 crazy as I imagine it should be, it’s just so funny. A very nice conclusion to the P&O series Matt. Thanks Lyny - don't mind an exciting landing myself but it is a bit annoying to be diverted to Lisbon, as happens from time to time.... Going back to Funchal next week on another cruise - hoping the weather is a little more pleasant!
Interesting video - found your flights channel as a result of trying to work out what Credit card to use to pay the final bill for my upcoming cruise on P&O Azura - didn't realise you did cruises too until I saw you mentioning them a few times in your narrations. Found the Cruises channel by putting in your name and 'Cruises'. We went on Azura about a month after you in the Med and quite enjoyed it, but can relate to a fair number of the comments you made. Did consider cancelling our next Azura cruise, but decided to go ahead, and am looking forward too to the hopefully over 100,000 Avios points I am expecting to get! - Will hopefully be able to use them to get some nice comfortable flights to next years cruises - which will hopefully be in the pacific area. Like the way you break down how to find the best value/real value of points etc. on Flights videos - and look forward to seeing whether you do the same thing on this channel.
Thanks David. I started out co-mingling the cruise and aviation content but RU-vid is easily confused and so I split them so they can find their own markets. Hope to be consistent in the approach! 100k avios is a decent haul - spend them well!
Madeira is stunning.... if you get the weather!! Transfer buses from ship to town were £4 each if on the P&O aaver fare... included if you had paid a select fare... i did the other Canaries itinary in December on Azura as you know and loved it !!
Thanks Richard - in Madeira again today as luck would have it... It is stunning, but I was also stunned that there's no bus! Neither provided by MSC or offered by the port. Lots of people shuffling through the tunnel. Not too far and there were plenty of taxis, but they were interested in 3 hour tours rather than a 3 minute ride around to the City Centre.... A nice walk though!
