jmac2050 to be fair, the corded impact wrenches when getting a good 14.4v can crack them nuts easily (even the ones which are tightened to like 300nm using air impact guns in garages) - talking from experience

Well, the tyre was not flat to start with, anybody could see that, she didn’t take the uninflatted tyre off the car, she didn’t undo the lug with the locking nut. She could of helped the other bloke, instead of laughing and driving off like she did.

The door was closed on the power cord. My Tahoe Hybrid’s owner’s manual says not to close the door or window on the power cord for the tire sealant or the tube for the air compressor.

.........Or you could just use your battery drill/impact wrench on your regular scissor jack. The upside is that you can use the drill/wrench for other things too.

I keep a cheap wired 12v impact wrench in the trunk. It can fit in the original scissors jack and also loosening / tightening the bolts.

First of all at 2:03 the bottom bolt is a puzzle nut that she cant get off without the key. So whilst filming they have realized oh shit so they have just put the wheel back on. Secondly at 2:04 she pulls out a bolt (like bmw's and audis have) whereas at 1:16 the hub has lugs so is a different car because they couldnt get the wheel off. 2:11 proceeds to roll a different wheel to the one she just "took off"

it dismounts screws and on the hub, there are threaded rods .... they could at least do everything with the same car and deflate the tire so that it looks more real!

Isn't one supposed to loosen the wheel lugs first..while it's still in contact with the ground? Or one,needn't do that...if using an impact wrench?

Comes right off with an impact on the ground or in the air. But with a manual tire wrench it needs to be on the ground.

@johnchandrav.1823 Sometimes you can rotate the wheel against the direction you are going with a lug wrench and use it's momentum to loosen the lugs (or tighten) while the wheel is in the air too. If you want to turn the lugs counter clock wise, you spin the tire clockwise and buck against it with the lug wrench. Doesn;t always work but some times if you forget to loosen them first and you don't have an impacter.

Literally everything about the video is wrong. First of all the girl could help the guy and it would’ve been a wholesome commercial. Second, the tire was fully inflated, she jacked the car right under the door(she’s lucky it didn’t punch a hole under the door frame, ask me how I know 🙄), lugs being loose and the fact she stopped in middle of the road to change her tire is not even worth mentioning.

Been working for AAA for 10 years and Ive tried them, their not horrible, just slow, i jack it up faster with a manual scissors jack and a speed handle, and been reading all the comments and alot from guys that seem to know what they talking bout but am i the only one that notice the "AUDI" had studs on the rotors? Lies : the second screw is already came loose when the sceew gun touch it (2:05). When the screws are tightned up, it is the same video in reverse. Plus, the jack is put at the wrong place, and the image of the wheel removed is not from the same car, not even the same side 2:17.

jopuentedura That’s when you are using a hand wrench or tire iron so you don’t knock the vehicle off the jack, but it’s ok to wait until the car is in the air if you are using an impact wrench since it will barley jolt the car. But hey I guess it wouldn’t hurt anything to loosen the bolt before you jack it
